Just so you know, this is polyamory, not polygamy. Polyamory is having relationships with multiple people, polygamy is marrying multiple people.

Ok Jesus christ I stopped following this for a week and it seems like the whole world has turned upside down. Can I get a TL;DR of the more recent events? When I left off, Jared had just released his followup statement on Twitter and Holly had made her Twitter entirely private.

First off, never has she said she demanded them too. And even if she did, how the fuck does that mean sex? Maybe what she meant is them to speak about their feelings, maybe see if it grows (like a date), and go from there. Not "yeah you can fuck my husband and you can fuck her" Also for all we know Jared might not have been transparent at all with her, maybe they did stuff that was outlined not to be okay with the agreements. Maybe Jared lied about a few small things, that broke her trust with him, in that situation. If I found out my partner in this lied to me about as something as simple like a kiss, then yeah I want that shit ending because clearly if they can't tell me something like that, then they don't deserve to be allowed to go further. It breaks trust not only in the Polyamory relationship, but the monogamy relationship. "Jared lied to me about (lets say kissing Holly), what else is he lying about? Maybe he had sex with her, maybe he had sex with another girl before Holly and never told me" so on so forth. Plus there is a different ruleset when it comes to Polyamory (I assume) when it comes to having your partner go with someone who has feelings for them, and they have feelings back. A simple hookup with a person is fine since ya know, for all you know it won't go any further. But with someone you know has feelings for each other? Then yeah that kinda starts to cross the line (once again I assume).

Being in a polyamorous relationship doesn't mean that there can't be wrongdoing. Now I won't claim to be an expert but it seems to me like Jared wasn't open with his wife about what he and Holly did together and that's what all this stems from. The lack of transparency coupled with Holly's intense emotional discourse with Jared, the whole I only love you thing, is probably what made Heidi want to end the polyamory. There's nothing wrong with trying a thing together and then realizing that it won't work, claiming that Heidi's relationships during their polyamorous phase somehow make her a giant FREAK is just straight up bullshit.

Yeah, pretty much. So what if she's the one that wanted to see if a poly relationship would work for them? What matters is that it didn't, she made that clear, and Jared was a scumbag lying and continuing to cheat.

Child porn laws work based on clear intent. That's so that even creepy predatory photos from the beach can be considered CP. So if you had a picture of your naked kids at the backyard pool, it's obviously some goofball family photo, but if you had several kinds of that picture from strangers kids, then clearly even if the setting doesn't say CP, the context is clear.

Not to be a bear but, while i understand "what exactly is child porn" isn't a search you want on your history, if you're unsure of something, do a little research before taking a stance on it. Even if it's just asking here first.

Wait a second... did Heidi ever actually post proof that they were fucking? I’m looking for those explicit texts and photographs she mentioned, but can’t find either. After learning about the polyamory I just kinda forgot that I haven’t actually seen evidence of them being explicit after Heidi shut it down.

It is when one person is below the legal age to do so. I'm not sure where else you've been reading, but I haven't seen anybody in this thread (really, on this whole forum) accusing him of anything more extreme than what he's done. If anyone got an impression that he was trying to have sex with elementary school kids, or that he had ANY physical contact with the underage people in question, I think it's on them for gaining a false impression. All I've read is that he requested/gathered underage nudes, and sent his own nudes to the same group of people, all of this being sexual in nature. That's enough to call it underage porn, and to call it pedophilic.

This entire situation has become such an incrompehensible mess I don't know who to believe anymore and frankly don't even know if I should care The stuff with Jared soliciting his underage followers' nudes is pretty black and white, he did something awful and legal in that department and should definitely be investigated, but every single statement in the situation between Heidi, Holly and Jared are so gray at this point that it is very hard to tell what is fabricated and what is the truth. Especially the screenshots that Holly posted; all of them paint Heidi in such a terrible image, like, unbelievably bad. The text messages especially make no real sense to me if you look at the full image. Especially the Facebook posts; why would she openly post shit like "wow I am benefitting so much from this situation" or "I was planning to steal his belongings" to any kind of audience that could easily be screencapped and posted to entirely ruin her side of the argument. Heidi seems a lot smarter and more kind than that.

Texts have been published by people who claim to be 16 now that Jared was fully aware of their age at the time. And iirc at least one person claims they had sex with him, which is statutory rape.

Imho I still believe it's still simple; it's just more shit being flown around. The only thing new about this ordeal is that Holly is trying to dig up dirt about Heidi, and I'm still thinking how the hell is Holly getting supposed "FREAKY" stuff when she was blocked from tweeting to Jared or talked to Holly for some time. Plus it doesn't even sound like Heidi's doing anything wrong as it just sounds like she's getting around to dealing with her ex's bullshit about the failed polygamous relationship. If anything it's just Jared being a scandalous, untrustworthy asshole who's digging a big hole for him and Holly unless they stop with the name-calling so Heidi can drop this, finish the divorce proceedings, Jared goes to jail, and go back to her life without worrying about what Jared and Holly trying to cause trouble in her cosplaying career. It's less "he says she says" and more Jared not owning up to his issue because the talk about multiple partners was brought up between them.
