I'm not really the best at conveying my feelings on something like this, but if I have to be honest I feel pretty sympathetic with all those who know ProJared. I had an internet friend back in middle school who I hung out with fairly often, and he was fairly popular in the kids game that we played together and had his own following. Thing is, he became very "mightier than thou" and if you ever crossed him he would alienate himself from you entirely. Needless to say, communications with him stopped after a while. Not just for me, but a bunch of our other friends too. He had a tight knit circle of friends where he could do no wrong...until he did.
Kind of recently, a friend linked me a video outting my old friend as a pedophile. He was apparently still playing the kid's game we played and soliciting pictures and videos of himself to underage minors on discord. These were people from his own fan base. He was outright manipulative with them, even sometime guilt tripping into doing what he wanted. I'll never forget his voice in the audio of the censored videos. It's fucking haunting. He disappeared entirely after the video blew up, and there hasn't been a trace of him since.
It's freaky to know some one capable of doing such malicious shit. There is a weird period where your brain is still trying to process the information and you're just kind of stuck there numb in the head. But then you fully comprehend all the terrible things they did and the people they hurt, and realize how unforgivable the whole situation is.
ProJared is delusional. To think that you can just post nudes shared by minors on your private blog which you encouraged and not have it blow up is every predator's pipe dream. I refuse to believe he did it simply because he's dumb and didn't think about the age. He had minors confirm themselves to him and he wanted more. Jared's doomsday was inevitable. If the cheating thing didn't shed light on this whole underage nudes thing, I'm sure the story would have surfaced on its own. You know, "what comes around goes around" and all that.
As for Holly, she's abhorrent. If what I heard is true, she's the key reason why Normal Boots didn't get the memo of Jared's canoodling with minors. She also gave their contact information to the predator. That's equally as irredeemable.

The Normal Boots statement says that they've known about it for over a month and the legal team decided not to tell other members of the group while they worked through the process of removing him. While Holly is definitely in the wrong for having an affair with him, as far as I know there is no evidence she was involved with the underage grooming aspect of this whole situation.

This dude is literally acting like a sociopath with the full-on abuse and gaslighting to go with it. I have no idea how you can seperate that much abuse from his content, but you do you i guess.
Like i can get past an anthill, sure. I can't really wade through a mountain of sociopathy. That shit stains the clothes and sort of leaks into his larger image and by extension, his content.
It's a day later and his subscriber count is still bleeding. Lost over 120k so far and is quickly heading towards sub-900k. Two years of progress undone in one day.
Dang, this might actually be the most significant sub-count loss on a relatively big channel. (Well deserved though). Usually mass un-sub exodus are usually a temporary thing that lasts a week or so and barely make a dent on the channel's activity since people usually just move on and forget it. Out of a bad situation, at least the guilty party is getting what they deserve at least.
I've been wondering about this for ages. but how much do you wager that nearly all of those 900k accounts are "dead" accounts at this point? if he's grown 120k subs in 2 years, the 900k others would be older. There's a good chance that a lot of those are from abandoned accounts of people who watched as teenagers and moved on in life. A lot of people actually "grow out" of video-games like most people tend to switch hobbies a lot through the formative years and their 20s, as well as a few times a decade as adults.
I guess i'm just wondering, because while he lost 10% subs. There's a fairly good chance he just lost 50% of his active viewership.

That's one of the reasons why I think he'll be seriously damaged by this whole debacle.
The standard line when a situation like this happens is that it ends up being a temporary blip that causes little damage long-term, but ProJared isn't some major Youtuber with millions of subscribers. Looking at the past year, the uploads he's put out are drawing in around a couple of hundred thousand views (with the lone review he put out being the one outlier), indicating that despite his high subscriber numbers, he's largely plateaued.
He also has a gameplay channel, but that channel only has about a quarter-million subscribers and even it's shed about 50k over this affair. And views on that channel are far, far lower.
ProJared's growth had slowed to a trickle, and you can clearly see from his Socialblade stats that his monthly views and subscribers have been in decline over the past year. This scandal has largely killed whatever devoted audience he has left, and has been so blatantly public as to poison his name to anyone who might have otherwise stumbled across his videos. I don't think Jared has the numbers or the following to just move pass this as though it were nothing.
I'd dare say Projared went a bit beyond the standard here. I mean. Dr. Disrespect patched up with his missus and is being a good father as far as we know. JonTron is back and afaik behaving himself. but their transgressions and Jared's are just in a whole different ballpark. Jared is safely in criminal territory here and very predatory and abusive. I really don't think there's a standard.
Other than that, i agree with your conclusion. He's probably entirely done now. I do hope he also goes to prison for the underage sexual abuse though.

Its less about having or not having dirt under your shoes. we all have skeletons in our closet. its about when shit goes public and suddenly everyone is entitled to judge you. Projared isn't the first person on earth who has cheated on someone, will not be the last one certainly. he's not even the first one nor the last one to harass minors using his influences and popularity for sexual purposes. If ypur favorite e-celeb looks like a cool dude, its probably because they have worked the extra mile to keep things hidden, rather than because they're actual beacons of hope.
The joys of being a celebrity end when you realise your life ceases to be your own, and any bad endeavours can potentially sink you to hell itself.

I agree with your overall point that e-celebs having their dirty laundry aired is now routine and super invasive and usually results in a backlash that doesn't fit the crime. No one is perfect and every role model is just waiting to disappoint you.
But, just a reminder, ProJared has manipulated minors for sexual means. That isn't a skeleton in the closet one can/should excuse, that isn't comparable to cheating on someone. This is 100% a scandal worth judging ProJared for. It's awful.
