• For trans people, gender-swap photo filters are no mere game

What a garbage article. As a trans person it's 100% fine for you to enjoy that filter, I don't give two shits about anyone playing games with gender. This whole article is just a quick jab for an easy 'controversial' headline, basically throwing fuel on the fire. Ugh I wish my medical condition wasn't so politicized.
im too lazy to reinstall snapchat just for this filter but ive gotten nothing but laughs and genuine surprises at how it can make dudes attractive to me
TBH the sole reason this got suddenly popular is because it was added to Snapchat. FaceApp is way better as it allows you to pose in different ways rather than only restrict you to frontal face ( at exchange of the editing being messed up if you have stuff like glasses, piercings and others ).
does faceapp have full motion tho?
It's not an ideal version it's honestly pretty trash, it's just fun I make one hell of a emo indie princess tho
One of the most obnoxious fuckin things about outrage culture is how it is actually making things worse for trans people. Every time an article is posted about "the LGBTS are calling for batman to be cancelled due to 1984 comic where he wore a dress as a joke" with the source being some random tweet that was probably made by a Russian agent, it makes every one of us look like whiny fucking babies. I'm trans and in multiple trans communities and I assure you that nobody gives a fuck about this in fact most of us are over here spamming the girl filter on ourselves anyway. Also god fucking damn journalism is in a depressing state I've seen at least one 'news' site that nowadays consists entirely of a clickbaity title about how cool something someone did in the my hero academia fandom and all the article is is 4 fluff paragraphs about what my hero is and who the character and cosplayer are like they're trying to fill out a school essasy and then a link to reddit. The site is basically just people describing reddit links to you. FUck
There was an issue of plastic man that got censored in the past 2-3 years because one of those outrage stories, the writer tweeted she was removing the scene from collected editions. I think it was plastic man in a Harley Quinn outfit. It sucks when these outrage stories make groups look bad and possibly makes it even worse when companies cave to the narratives.
