For the uninitiated, who is this?
That cell north of El Reno is flirting with touchdown on Livestream. She's a big one https://www.news9.com/videolivestream#feedUrl=https://kwtv-lh.akamaihd.net/i/KWTV_1256@91154/master.m3u8
Reed Timmer if I had to guess, that's "The Dominator 3", which is his tornado intercept vehicle.

Ah, so basically killdozer, but for storms. Also, can you make that embed a link to get rid of the shake?
My damn Dad is in Western Oklahoma for job training and he's driving to Guthrie right now to chase this tornado lol
A very Oklahoman thing to do
Live Storm Chasing This might be interesting to some people. Like watching stuff like this.
We got one in Mangum https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1861/b7c3208a-fd02-4ef6-95b0-acf90182227b/fa09d57d-1d25-4ea0-9c8d-b77d10fb3681.gif
That one in Magnum is huge! Two areas of circulation it looks like, too.

Ew. They're predicting 5 to 10 inches of rain in the OKC metro area.
I just watched a god damn wave going down a street in Ponca City on TV.
They showed a UPS truck that got stuck in water. Tires were basically entirely underwater. Not looking forward to all the rain, but at least I don't have anywhere to go until this weekend.
If you're close enough to see the damn thing you're too close to reliably get away. And if you don't have a proper storm shelter....you're pretty much screwed no matter what. Might as well record the thing, fuck it. What I'd do. Either that or I'd kick back, put Twister on, and hope the power doesn't go out before I hear Bill Paxton call out debris. then again one of my bucket list checkboxes is to tornado chase some day. So perhaps I'm not the first person to ask when it comes to these things
I'm likely not going to be able to make it in to work tomorrow because my neighborhood floods bad. Going to have to wake up an extra hour early so I can say that. Fucking waking up at 2 AM.
Remember, floods are the biggest weather related killer other than heat. Don't be stupid and get yourself killed because you had to go to work/do chores/go out. https://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/hazstats/resources/weather_fatalities.jpg
And that's when the next round of storms are going to roll in, too.
Depends entirely on where you are. My neighborhood is bad, the streets near me are bad, but like 5 minutes away you'd never even know it's flooding everywhere else.

Meanwhile, my streets are flooded this morning and I can't get out of my driveway. I hate calling in to work but fuck off I'm not driving in this.
Mate don't feel fucking bad for putting your safety first, my workplace sent most of its people home during last year's snowfall because it was making roads/travel too dangerous. Doesn't really count for shit me saying this but stay safe as you can.
I hate calling in because money so I can live and all that shit. I called in because I'm not going to die for $15/hr.
Mass evacuations during tornadoes end up causing traffic jams, in the event it turns toward people stuck in their vehicles its far more dangerous. That and debris can easily be driven through car windows or the cars themselves. Flooding, muddy roads, rain making it impossible to see properly can also cause even more lives lost/injuries.
The worst part of the storm ended up shifting slightly so it didn't really do anything for me. Just got a SHIT ton of rain and high winds. So I'm totally okay with that. People are getting mad and talking shit to our meteorologists because they didn't get a tornado. The meteorologists said the potential for a life threatening storm could occur as the conditions are right. The issued the warnings as early warnings to save life in the event the system actually turned into a catastrophe, people don't get that. Bunch of dumbshits who want to take pictures are jeopardizing NOAA research and cock blocking real researchers. Go figure.
I hate that. I'd rather prepare for the worst and nothing happen, than to be caught with my metaphorical pants down. Even when I lived with my parents, we didn't care. We'd spend the whole morning cleaning the shelter, moving important stuff down there, etc. If we didn't have to go down there except to remove stuff? Great! If we did, well, good thing we prepared.
Reminds me of all the people that doubled down on "climate change is a hoax" because Hurricane Irma made landfall in mainland Florida as a cat 3 instead of cat 5, despite nearly wiping several islands off the map already. Why do they get disappointed when the damage isn't as extreme as predicted? Also, taking measures to protect against the worst is what actually keeps people from dying in the first place.
