There is still some tornado threat in Missouri, as well as dangerous flooding

A large, violent tornado struck Missouri's capital city last night..

Well that's fucking spooky
Nothing is more terrifying than a rain wrapped tornado.. in the dark.
We're already at ~550 count for this year on tornadoes. Pretty active year. Hopefully the fatalities stays down.
Baltimore... Don't see this everyday.

I saw this pop up while I was monitoring other storms. In the alley. That is quite a surprise.
Got one in Washington DC now

That wall of red and pink hitting arlington is intense. This storm is no joke. Its the same front that produced the missouri tornado right?
That's legitimate horror movie material. Seeing nothing but flashes of light, then suddenly a big-ass tornado in one flash, then it's gone the next.

That's why they call it Tornado Alley.
Scary to see all of those reports that weren't warned.
this was fucking scary holy shit, i sat through like 2 days of this and last night we had like 4 watches come out of absolutely no where overtime
illinois and missouri were being pounded, i have no fucking clue how i didnt get hit by anything.
Oklahoma is getting hit again, stay safe all.
At this point I'd be worried because the soil is just so saturated at this point, pretty much amplifies the winds.
It ain't fuckin' spring till you get tornado sirens at 10:50pm. No tornado watch, just a thunderstorm watch, sucker spun up without any warning and went 3 miles or so north of me. But yeah.
El Reno got hit, hotel got hit and collapsed. Confirmed injuries, no word on fatalities.
Tornado went through central part of OKC.
Presently, something else trying to form it looks like at Jacktown.
Channel 9 live now.
Lost my old house I grew up in during the floods and they're talking about there being more tornados this week. I hadn't seen it get this bad in Oklahoma since 2013.

This is some damage up at my parent's. The tornado that went through Sapulpa basically formed on top of them but didn't touch down until it was a few miles east of them. No significant damage beyond a lot of tree limbs.
Looks like IA/IL is up next tomorrow. The RAP SIGTOR model seems to be pretty confident. Definitely something to watch.

Here's a model sounding from the dead center of the pink zone there. Pretty impressive setup. CAPE isn't too impressive but the low-level shear definitely is.

These past two weeks have been one hell of a weather pattern. Day after day of pretty much the same area.
Things have gotten so bad that schools have closed for the whole summer!
Also goddamn its been like a solid 2 weeks of rain and the sump pump has been going off every other minute for the past week.
I live in the southeastern most part of Minnesota and a few sirens went off, I was in the process of moving out of my apartment this afternoon and we took shelter, I guess Iowa got the worst of it though. I'm definitely relieved honestly, I saw a video of a tornado passing a few miles near my new house where my dogs were at the time, my wife and I were pretty worried since we were a half hour away.
Dayton Ohio area experienced a Tornado Emergency

I think it was two Tornados down similar paths. At least one confirmed.
Just north of Wright Patterson AFB here next to Medway.
That shit was scary. We were in the direct path of the one that smashed through downtown Dayton until it suddenly changed course. And then one dropped right on top of the base and was creeping towards us til it changed its mind.
Was more worried for my aunt since she lives in Fairborn a stone's throw away from the base, but she's fine.
Can't imagine the damage in the places where it hit. I heard it was really fucking big. All eyes in the house were trained on several different local news channels and TWC with our laptops we brought into the interior bathrooms. As soon as the last portion of the storm passed, there were police, ambulance, and fire truck sirens all over the neighborhood going to different impacted cities.
Tomorrow morning (technically a bit later today since it's already 1:03 AM) is going to be a hell of a day...
Stay safe y'all
Had one tear up my neighborhood back in 2013. It passed at the end of the street, four houses away. Dropped an entire tree on the roof of our house and tore up trees all around, resulting in three gas leaks on our street alone. But for my money, it sounded like a jet, not a freight train. One of the most terrifying and haunting experiences ever.
I'm intrigued by the fact that Xenia didn't get hit, with its history and all.
I'm not that far south of Beavercreek, and last night while driving, I watched the lightning. Had no idea it was part of something so much bigger.
I feel for him, people did the same in my town when we were getting some action.
People legit bitching about their fucking TV shows and tornados are dropping around us in different neighborhoods.
The reason tornado related deaths are so low as of right now is because of early warning systems and emergency broadcasting.
That's Jamie Simpson for you. He doesn't take shit off of anyone when it comes to serious weather, WKEF is our second goto local news right behind WHIO.
I'm so glad he said this.
