dont remember where I read it, but it's supposed to be a metaphor about irl vs online relationships. "it's so hard to form connections when you can't shake hands". being isolated irl while having internet connections. modern solitude
Kojima would never be this specific, he paints with a broader brush
mostly since he doesn't really understand the nuance of the western world quite to that degree, I mean look at those fucking names

It's on youtube
I don't see how it's pretenious, just mysterious and cryptic for now, which makes it interesting. It's nice to not be spoon fed themes and plot for once. Everything so far is unique and cool imo.
Honestly out of all the trailers this one makes me excited to PLAY the game versus dive into the story. The mechanics that were shown (holding breath, the terrain traversal, plugging the baby into the light to show the beings) look pretty neat. And the movement looks plodding but satisfying.
Lets wait until the game actually comes out before we start throwing around words like"SHIT LOAD of pretentious fluff" please. I've seen pretentious. David Cage's games are pretentious. I have a little bit more faith Kojima will actually be able to show what he's trying to say in an interesting way going from his previous titles and how they handled those themes.

This has me quite interested. Of course Kojima would come up with something like this
I wonder if the engine being made is basically the FOX engine in everything but name, seeing the walk reminded me of MGSV.
I wonder if equipment will affect your mobility, I noticed in some scenes you only have that scanner on your back, and in others you're carrying boxes almost as big as you (not to mention that quick glimpse of you carrying a body in the same way) but you still moved pretty easily during the combat segment.
Say what you want about the trailers being confusing, it's a great way to not spoil anything. If only more trailers these days were like that. I'm glad I have a PS4 now, damn.
You don't have to like it, but disliking it just because you don't understand it yet seems a bit early.
It's going to be interesting no matter what, and that's what matters to me.

Seems to confirm that there are different skeleton types and a level system for armor.
Okay, I'm finally on the hype train now. This looks so fucken weird and fun.
I honestly think I said exactly this same thing last time a trailer came out, but I keep forgetting how much I want this game and right as that occurs they release a new trailer which makes me hyped as fuck. My hype levels increase with each new one.
"Even the moon"
I wonder if that's teasing the moon as a location and if it is I hope that means the KojiPro Ludens mascot is an outfit :v
Collector’s edition comes with an actual live baby
The idea of a game that involves you traversing the world and making deliveries is quite novel and unique on its own, but when that's combined with the strange, mysterious setting and action gameplay it makes it so, so much more interesting.
Inside a real clone of Norman Reedus. Just forcefully open his mouth and look down his gullet!
Strange thought, but looking at how strange and imaginative this game is
think about what this guy is going to start making once he's old and very near or on his deathbed.
Just look at what Bowie made while on his deathbed, one of the most surreal and dedicated albums we've seen in a long time.
