THQ doesn't want to talk about the EGS. We don't know numbers but if they were good they'd brag about them.
Yeah, I saw that, and it seemed to be business as normal. PC releases never do all that well, and when you're exclusiving your PC release to a new platform with a small userbase it's not gonna do well.
If EGS numbers are still utter shite three or four years from now then maybe I'll concede that for the first time in the history of PC gaming a mass boycott actually worked. But as of now it's just circumstantial. It could be a semi-successful boycott, or it could simply be a small userbase causing the bad PC sales.
The thing is the Metro series, in the past, has done overwhelming well on PC and that has been its primary platform.
Now I'm not sure if a boycott will force anything on the EGS issue, ultimately I think its going to take legal action to kick them in the head and fix that situation.

Sales in the same quarter that had steam purchases being transferred over to Epic, the only platform currently where Exodus is sold on PC.
Warframe is a good time and it's free to play. you can only play online co-op tho
She thinks that game is disorienting.
There's always the old classic Halo series, which is coming to Steam with the MCC. I don't know how it's going to handle co-op at all, but if you liked Halo anyway it's certainly worth giving it a look.
I can also suggest Orcs Must Die 2, Sanctum 2, Hammerwatch/Heroes of Hammerwatch, Shoot Many Robots, and the Left 4 Dead series. None of these are really looter shooters, - or not really shooters at all in the case of Hammerwatch - but they're all co-op based. You're definitely right that couch co-op is a dying genre though.
Guacamelee can be a great local co-op game. There's a lot of couch co-op games out there but not many that are also looter shooters.
There’s some co-op games out there, we love Overcooked for instance, but the looter shooter genre is basically Destiny which is not great, or the Division which I have 0 interest in, and Anthem which is just garbage.
Borderlands 3 is jointly our most anticipated game of all time, it’s something neither of us are actually okay with missing out on. We don’t know what we’re going to do but I’m pretty upset.
Seconding the halo recc, especially considering Borderlands itself as a concept was inspired by Gearbox's peak under Halo's hood while porting it. Halo 1 has a tag system where weapons are constructed parametrically and nothing is "hard coded." Gearbox folks prototyped the first procedural gun system in Halo CE iirc.
It's a little stupid to boycott a game over one dumbfuck. There are hundreds of people at Gearbox and it's unfair to put their jobs and livelihood at risk because their company is run by a socially regressive manchild.
Deep Rock Galatic might be one to occupy time with on occasion. It's not a looter-shooter, and it's not got split-screen so you'd need two copies, but it's honestly one of my favorite coop games right now. It's obviously going to be a big departure from a game like Borderlands, but the humor and mild quirkiness might help.
How does this man still have a job?
He owns the company and it has no shareholders or board of directors. There is no power higher than Randy.
Gearbox actually gives their employees royalties from sales and has done so since Borderlands 2.
Or they are supposed to but there was rumours about that money being mismanaged.
Isn't there a a lawsuit going currently about them NOT doing that?
If I remember correctly they're planning on bringing localized co-op over to PC if they can get it working correctly. I'm pretty stoked about that, can't think of any PC FPS games that have even attempted that and that was one of the things I really liked about Halo 1-Reach.
Any of the Borderlands games are able to be run multiple times on a local machine, creating the option for a "LAN" game on a local PC between two copies of the same game running on the machine.
Years ago there was a "BL2 Splitscreen Tool" that has since gone defunct that made this process very easy, and very fast. I have a copy of it still and it just lets you have two "unfocused" windows open at once and a controller can be linked to run each instance only. It's very neat.
"This makes me feel things." says Randy as he peels a man's face from his skull on a livestream, slowly raising the screaming skeletal flesh to cover his own, staring out through the man's own empty eyesockets as a thrumming erection stirs between his legs. "This is, as they say on Pandora, Bad-Ass." intones Gearbox's CEO as he sticks his tongue out of the flesh-mask's mouth.
Maybe this might explain why he lets 2K dictate to them what to do with the Duke Nukem franchise despite 2K having literally no control over it
He doesn't realize that he could let 3D Realms release to source code to 2002 DNF online in an instant for free, only for the Duke community patch it into a finished game for free and then claim royalties like the scumbag he is
Which I feel is irrelevant since Bitchfraud already has a history of fucking with funding. He lost the benefit of the doubt after A:CM and DNF.
To borrow a line from Jim fuckin Sterling son, he had the EASIEST job in the games industry this year. Get people hyped for BL3. Which is piss easy cause there’s already a sizeable amount of people hyped including humanabyss (not calling you out mate, just stating fact) who would happily jump on the BL3 bandwagon. Fuck, I was ready to jump on too until Bitchfraud made a complete fucking ass of himself. Literally all this fucking clown has to do to be successful is shut up, and advertise the product, and he is literally incapable of shutting his fucking mouth.
I feel for the devs. I appreciate borderlands, and I wanna support gearbox, but I flat out refuse to until Randy Bo Bandy gets the fucking boot. If that means I gotta pass on BL3, so be it. I’ll live without it.
randy can't even properly manage an online presence, why does anyone let him manage a company
I know so many people who are hyped for BL3 who would cancel any hype for it if I showed them this thread.
Randy is such an alien spod of a person. Had he got no publicist?
