eulas cannot circumvent the law
This doesn't make any sense. There have been plenty of games pulled from sale due to various licensing issues, the developer going bankrupt, etc, but they have never actually had the ability to download them removed for people who already bought them with the exception of PT which wasn't a paid game. I sent emails to Sony and Microsoft's PR people to see if anyone can confirm or deny that this is happening.
well nintendo will be doing this with the wii in the near future, disabling your ability to download any of your past purchases despite Nintendo not being bankrupt and having plenty of money not many people were upset about that
AFAIK when steam delists a game from a store page, it doesn't delete the game itself from the cloud servers. If you bought Temper Tantrum before Digital homicide was banned from steam then congratulations, you can still play it! but why would you want to?
Hey I never said that steam would win legally, just that's how their EULA works. I mean hell we have refunds now, I'm sure that wasn't allowed in the EULA either. I don't think its ethical at all to sell the games as "Licences to own" and steam definitely doesn't make it clear that you won't actually own the game forever
i get the game is garbage, but this isn't a good thing at all.
