I might get flak for this but I think something like a hetero parade or even the inclusion of hetrosexuality in the LGBTQ fold could, COULD be a nice thing. Not because straight people are being oppressed or any of that but because it might help de-emphasize heterosexuality as the "default" sexuality, with all the other ones being abberrations. It would be cool if straightness was just another sexuality.
Unfortunately though the only ambassadors for that sort of thing are cockheads with chips on their shoulders.

Yep, to me (as a bi, demi guy) the A stands for Asexual/Agender, not allies, firstly because ace people do face oppression for their sexuality in different ways, as well as the feeling of not fitting in because of their sexuality, and because allies don't need to be part of the acronym.
