Wealthy people and corporations have so much money they don't know what to do

just trickle it down lol
The guy who had the most popular support and wanted to change the system, somehow didn't win last time. Wonder why that is. Almost like there's a gigantic entrenched elite establishment that will use their immense resources to quash any attempt at a peaceful revolution.
All the money in the world can't save you from an asteroid impact, or a volcanic eruption that causes a nuclear winter, or just plain nuclear war. If you're gonna stand by and do nothing you'll end up being another victim.
i forget that the US has many issues when it comes to its democratic process
Aaaaany second now
Honestly I find the pictures of the guillotines incredibly naive tbh, these people think the super rich that are at the top to cause change aren't aware of human behavior or the systems in place that take advantage of the majority of under educated people. The REAL RICH people who have the unthinkable amounts of cash also have access to undisclosed properties in many parts of the world just like how their money is in undisclosed investments in many parts of the world so IF when shit hits the fan you really think these guys haven't already brought umbrellas for themselves is incredibly silly. The only rich you will be guillotining are lowest ones on the rung who themselves aren't incredibly important and may be rich to our eyes but not to the extreme level the top brass has.
These people will live the best the longest because they literally decide where and when that money/food/gun/supplies/properties are hoarded and can afford to move those things and prepare OR they will already be long dead before that happens. Anyone who thinks the people who have the massive weight to change the world will just be sitting in some easy to access gated community for us to kick down their door and force feed them dollar bills is deluding themselves just as much as Trump supporters.
And you are naive for believing that's the picture the guillotine supporters are peddling. You forget that their backup plans, their bunkers, homes, weapons and food are all created, guarded and maintained by other people. People who might not give a shit once money loses its power.
Its weird that it describes the situation as "truly bizarre" when the ultimate goal of capitalistic system is to make as much money as possible
Its messed up and something should be changed about it, but this isnt bizarre, its par for the course
Everyone saw this shit coming and its definitely going to get worse overtime if governments dont fix it, which is probably wont happen
Someone posted an article on there recently about the ultra-rich making plans in case civilization collapse and they were struggling to find solutions to simple problems such as preventing betrayal of mutiny from your armed guards once money becomes worthless and they don't have direct access to production of wealth.
Turns out those who became wealthy through capitalism actually need a strong and stable government to back them up, their wealth means nothing in a vacuum.
Careful, don't open your hands (or your mouth), the thing that is trickling down isn't money.
<Insert golden shower joke here>
the VC parts are the worst, companies like Uber are more apparent than ever just a giant cash fire that was kept going until it could go to IPO or destroy all the taxi companies of the world and become a monopoly built on scum labor practices.
the company I work for has such an aversion to hiring on contractors as full service employees even though they have people who's been there 5-6 years. its all because of money.
Who are we gonna eat first is the real question?
The ones that are not attempting to advance anything but their wallets.
I'd personally rather starve than eat a human being. But I know coyotes aren't picky...
Gotta wonder when somebody is going to try assassinations of high-profile billionares; their popularity publicy is plummeting and our governments are too corrupt to do anything about it.
Reminder that this is essentially mostly Trump's fault.
I feel like there's a way to address this that could benefit everyone. Maybe set up an overseas investment program where investments in foreign geeen companies are taxed in exchange for some non-cash asset from the government.
That, or something like a fund that corporations could pay into for social service benefits that, again, kicks them back some sort of non-cash asset.
There's definitely some clever solution to this that could be a serious windfall for everyone. If we had another party in office, we could actually try to make some of them work. The big thing would be figuring out what to incentivize them with, if not more money.
Lol, this goes much deeper than Trump
They even address this in the article; Trump's tax plans have essentially removed the incentive for corporations to spend the money they have.
Usually, corporations are slapped with fucking HUGE taxes on any cash they have in the bank at the end of the year; this incentivizes them to spend it on growth, or external investment.
This isn't currently the case.
I wonder if using gamification on charity would incentivize rich people to actually help out the lower class. This might be a crazy idea, but here me out.
It seems like a lot of wealthy people are interested in making profit and taking risks with the huge sums of money they have, which is why they back bullshit companies or dump millions into useless shit, or just constantly fuck the markets to make their profits increase. Since they have such incredible amounts of wealth the number becomes more important to them since their wealth is practically limitless. Getting that number higher and higher and seeing constant growth looks like what they crave. it's almost like a gambling high.
Things like helping out the poor or doing charitable work doesn't bring in profit, but if you could quantify the amount of good will created, how many lives were improved, how the quality of life of society has gone up due to charitable contributions, and then had some sort of global leaderboard, you could potentially get rich people swinging their cash dicks around and helping millions of people just to see their e-peen charity score go up.
I don't know if in the grand scheme of things it would make a huge difference, but companies have been using gamification and gambling to encourage people to spend more money for a higher score or to buy more things or even just to have social staus among their peers, why not flip the script and get the rich to spend more money to get a higher charity score or something? If you could quantify the good someone's donations do, you could encourage the rich to put money into actually helpful activities.
That's my naive thought, at least.
democrats and republicans really aren't much different from a purely fiscal perspective though. even the democrats only adopt more progressive policies long after leftist grassroots movements have made it convenient to do so. it's pretty telling a mild socdem like bernie is considered radical here. basically this isn't trump's fault, this is just the natural result of decades of neoliberalism.
Right so if you're offered food, water and since you're secluded you don't have to worry nearly as much rationing especially if there is possibly wild game there. The world isn't going to collapse while these fucks are alive and even when it starts it won't be an immediate downward spiral into nothingness, it will be a painful slow decline. You really think money is just going to suddenly stop mattering in the next 50 years yet you're smugly telling me SOMEONE(??) is going to up rise and hunt these guys down lol. Is it going to be you?? I would like to see any plans you have if you do, on what this theoretical mass of people will come from and how they will have the ability to track these people down and not be out gunned, out fed, out fucking everything.
Should have used all that money to bribe Garry
