13 years later for me and it's a wrap. I'd be on my actual account (Fish_poke) but uh, logging in seems to make the site slow to a crawl. Not gonna be moving over to Knockout, I sorta grew to not care for a majority of the community, but the small segments I still interacted with will be missed. Have fun out there and good luck.
I'm not that much of an active poster and I kinda feel I never really integrated into the community, but I did find some incredible amounts of Hal-Life related useful information and content on here lurking for god knows how many years (before even registering) and FP sort of became my go-to site for a general news overview in topics that interest me so it's sad to see it go.
Also idk if anyone else noticed this but back on oldpunch some of the way old smileys were just hotlinked from other sites. I remember this because reading through old (like 2007-09 era) FP topics ever so often I'd run into one of those "don't leech off our bandwidth" images from some site, which was a large image of a futanari girl with a humongous dick cumming all over herself in front of a laptop. That fucking image is burnt into my retinas for good thanks to Facepunch. And I just can't hate any site that brought me such joyous and vivid memories as that.
The SA emotes were the one thing that truly made us unique
So how about any kind of official announcement and a link to knockout where most people will go?
Or are they just gonna do it randomly with no official warning as a final fuck you to all of us?
