Plot twist, the female Pyro was the default model and that model was a male fetishist
I wonder if feminists and sjws would throw a fit if female player models had to be given male hitboxes to keep the game fair [smaller/more slender target]

I'd probably imagine that they'd be happy/fine with that since they wouldn't be going for the generic slim female bodytype for all of the characters.

Just flatten out the breasts and you're good to go
They look pretty neat, reminds me of when TF2 actually followed the 50s aesthetic.
ah the good old days with the first weapon update....
You're conflating Anton with all of valve (which is ironic considering how long ago he left), and the notion that fantasy is a hard coded style and not an open genre is frankly stupid. Star Wars is more fantasy than science, and so is the Matrix, frankly.
The idea that valve can only make "certain games of certain styles" is exactly why we have the current state of valve's catalog that we do.
Just look at how the art direction of Portal 2, Half Life, Tf2 are timeless and visually striking and unique and how Dota just looks like a generic moba. With fantasy it's way harder to focus on concepts like you can in scifi, because fantasy in the style of dota is picking a bit from every mythos and cultures and making a medley of everything.
There's interesting ways to do fantasy, but they way valve did it with dota is just like LoL, a mixing pot of characters that are made to look unique from eachother to be recognizable on a top down camera and the whole thing has no narrative cohesion. From another dev I wouldn't care but up until then, they set a world building and visual coherence mark they didn't hit with dota in my eyes.
I never said valve could only make some types of games, just that they are way more successful with some themes and artstyles and less with others. I actually think you understood none of my points are youre arguing with things I didn't say.
And blaming me for valves catalogue when their next game is Artifact? Cm'on.
