• Missle Threat to Hawaii False Alarm

I live in southampton in the UK and every friday they sound an air raid siren to indicate a ship bringing in munitions to a military port across the water, first time I heard that fucker I was scared shitless, hope you guys over in Hawaii are alright and didn't get too affected by this. [editline]14th January 2018[/editline] not as bad as living in Portsmouth mind, my older brother who went to uni there said they got leaflets through the door whenever a trident submarine was going to be docked up, and the leaflets basically told you what to do in the event of an accidental explosion, that shits just scary

I guess this will happen when a system that seemed redundant for a good 28 years or so years, is crewed by individuals haven't used such a system in a long time. I'm just hoping this will be the last time that such an event happens, one can only cry wolf so many times. - [ HATEFULNESS , HATEFULNESS ]

Officials at the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency are getting death threats now. http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/37264452/hawaii-emergency-officials-receive-death-threats-following-false-missile-alert Guess some people took it a bit more seriously than others.
Most the alerts I've seen here in Finland have been something like "A BEAR WAS SEEN IN THE WOODS" but if it was like this, I don't know what I would do. There's a shelter in the basement of my apartment building, but being there with everyone else in this building doesn't seem that feasible. It seems to be made for less than 10 people, but there's around ~100 in this building alone. And the shelter is shared among buildings around us. I would be rather peeved if a false alarm like this forced me to suffocate in there.

But if they've done something their friends and family might never forgive them for, their life may as well be over.
Who do you think will protect a country with no real allies? Do you think China will launch a nuke so NK wont have to? What does this post even mean.
It means the political fallout from any type of offensive nuking would far supersede the nuclear fallout. It wouldn't be instant, but it would lead to a major war/nuclear exchange. Russia would certainly try and twist it that way.

Who would be firing nukes to protect NK? Who on earth would take NK's side if they were to fire a nuke? Why would Russia try to twist NK's nuclear attack against the US? Who would be the one offensively nuking? Why would the nations start firing nukes at one another years after NK launched a nuke? What?
For those who are curious: https://i.imgur.com/zp96qg9.png
This is going to be adapted to an an anime or something, and then some chucklenut here is going to set their avatar to it.
For those who are curious: https://i.imgur.com/zp96qg9.png
I mean if it's all consensual I guess it's alright but uhhhh I'm not a fan of this grim cyberpunk future we've landed in.
It's exactly like that episode from The Twilight Zone.
Don't trust everything you read on the internet
Usually, I wouldn't believe this type of thing. but it was posted on 4Chan. What is he going to get out of lying? Internet Points?

(I.E. Elliot Rodgers, the guy who strangled his girlfriend etc.) At this point you have to believe crap they post.
Have they fired anyone for this yet?

WAPO has an article with a screenshot of the UI. This is hilarious. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2018/01/16/that-was-no-wrong-button-in-hawaii-take-a-look/?utm_term=.58c51d8f87f6
