I agree, the E-Golf is one of my personal favorite (and not too expensive) electric cars. Overall range isn't great, but for people who don't travel far it's not a bad choice.

That picture is just a concept. It probably won't look like that. The mirrors alone don't meet legal requirements. (you have to have physical mirrors, cannot just be cameras)

Even the concept car they showed off in 2001 but never put into production looked nicer.

Safety standards sure do help in an accident but god damn if they don't also force engineers down a narrow street to the final design.

Honestly, if this was what they released, it would not look out of place at all. Like its scary how well that design has aged.
