Nintendo Selling Empty Splatoon 2/Switch Bundle Boxes in Japan

My brother has a huge retro videogame collection and sometimes buys the games and boxes separate (some boxes for like 20 bucks). This sort of move from Nintendo doesn't surprise me.

In my area, scammers actually buy empty console boxes off people. They fill it with miscellaneous junk and sell it on craigslist to people who don't care to check goods before handing over money.

I keep the boxes for all my figures and sometimes my 3DS games. A lot Collector's Edition Boxes are really nice like the Dead Space 2 one which I keep on my dresser.
