Can you maybe bond over a bad movie that's not in its box office gross phase, at the opening weekend no less Especially this one?? Sony pictures thinks about shutting down over a bomb and suddenly everyone wants to spend $11 on watching utter shit, I don't get it
If I'm on the fence about watching a bad movie in theaters just out of curiosity, I just wait for it to come to Netflix (or whatever else). Then at least I'm not out 10 bux.
Apparently it didn't do well opening night, it took in 900,000 while another movie "Atomic Blonde" took in 1.5 mil. I'm waiting for Armond White's review of the movie, that is the true test of whether it's trash or not
so. where's the Half in the Bag?
Atomic blonde being ahead makes me happy because the projection was that emoji would make 2 million more than AB. Ofc it's Friday and I doubt kids movies typically have a lot of Thursday pre-screen turnouts [editline]28th July 2017[/editline] SOME FUCKWIT ACTUALLY GAVE IT A FRESH it's 3% now [t]http://i.imgur.com/BVXrvo1.jpg[/t] 6/10 and a negative statement got marked fresh, reminds me of ghostbusters. Are these automated?
Doesn't Common Sense media base their rating on "it's okay to show to kids" rather than actual quality?
Why are they even on RT then
You know I was expecting much lower than 900k in one night.
it's still early but so far that is exactly the percentage i was hoping to see lol, but that average rating of 1.7 oh dear it's pretty satisfying tho knowing that some idiots somewhere watched the lego movie, went "pfft we can totally do that too", changed a few things and then proceeded to fail miserably. well, assuming it also bombs at the box office like I hope to fuck it will
That film's score is over 14 times higher with the general audience than it is with the critics. The film was so bad RT probably decided it wouldn't be a great idea to accept Sony's paycheck... Unless the point of the film was to be so bad that everyone ends up seeing it once.
Early on, a character gleefully declares, “Words aren’t cool!” Is that the ideology the screenwriters embraced? It’s a fair question.
:zing:
The sad thing is, the movie will probably make its money back because of people who are going to see it ironically for the meme value.
If she is that interested in the movie and you tried to change her mind. Watch it with her out of empathy and kindness. The Emoji movie could be quite the experience for the both of you.
Considering she won't watch John Wick with me despite me saying how good of a movie it is and that I really want to watch it with her before watching the sequel, that's not gonna happen, but that's a whole other can of worms. Really, the thing is that even if we waited until it was $1 at a dollar theater, that's still an hour and a half of my life that I could've spent watching something better. I don't go to the movies often, but when I do I want it to be a good experience. Plus, Spiderman is my favorite superhero. I wouldn't mind Sony being forced to give up the rights, especially not after Homecoming.
Doesn't Common Sense media base their rating on "it's okay to show to kids" rather than actual quality?
They also rate "Is it any good?"
so. where's the Half in the Bag?
They don't do animated movies last time I checked. Mostly because their usual talking points don't apply to them I think.
5 minutes :sax:
I am still watching this movie critics are not always right about movies just look at shrek the third
So what I'm getting from these reviews is that there is nothing good about the film. Whereas any other bad movie will have some sort of entertainment or one thing good about it, this is just a complete waste of time and money that's not even worth watching because it's bad
So it's like 70% of IHE's search for the worst.
Bummer, maybe Emojis: The Movie: The Game: The Movie will be better

I was a littler worried at all the 0% but this makes me want to see it still. I definitely have grandma take me

Great review overall, very informative from beginning to end but I now have the sudden urge to download the Just Dance™ app! Available now for free on iOS and Android!
I was a littler worried at all the 0% but this makes me want to see it still. I definitely have grandma take me
I want to see I ticket stub. Do it. :toxx: it.
keep in mind, it trailed behind atomic blonde on a thursday. we still have the weekend to endure, which is when the kids will go out and watch it. here's hoping common sense prevails
Boxofficemojo is giving it a more conservative prediction of 2nd place opening weekend at $22 million, as opposed to the 1st place $30 million others are predicting. They're usually pretty accurate so at least we'll likely be spared seeing commercials calling this the "#1 movie in America!!!". Instead they'll probably just take that dumb shortcut studios have started taking where they just call it the "#1 Comedy in America" or some other more specific label so they can still claim it's #1 lol
An excerpt from Vox's review:
Maybe it's not a coincidence that no one has been to the moon since Sony Pictures was founded.
I want to see I ticket stub. Do it. :toxx: it.
Fuck that. Toxxing over the U.S. election and other stuff makes sense, but toxxing to go see the Emoji Movie, in theaters now, is a very bad idea.
Considering she won't watch John Wick with me despite me saying how good of a movie it is and that I really want to watch it with her before watching the sequel, that's not gonna happen, but that's a whole other can of worms.
Ok but seriously you need some help setting up a dating profile?
Wow i knew it was gonna be shitty but wow.
to go see the Emoji Movie, in theaters now, is a very bad idea.
All you had to say
All you had to say
I suppose you're right... you'd be better off to just get the Just Dance™ app, out on iOS and Android now, and burn time on that. The Emoji Movie, in theaters now, probably isn't worth anyone's time.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/BVXrvo1.jpg[/t] 6/10 and a negative statement got marked fresh, reminds me of ghostbusters. Are these automated?
6/10 and higher are considered positives by RT https://www.rottentomatoes.com/about/
