feels so jarring not having "Home", "Trending", and "Subscription" tabs above the main video feed.
It was great to have there because it's pretty quick to hit. Much better than only navigating from a toggle-able sidebar.
They even removed it from the old interface.

fucking hamburger menus

For some unknown reason, the dark theme ISN'T on the video upload pages. I went to upload and suddenly my retinas detached. Also, that little menu you get when you click your avatar to select things like the dark theme, is completely different on the upload page, and that specific page alone from what I can tell so far, so you can't even select it there.
Also, small complaint, but I do miss my old customized colored play bar styles. Not a big deal but hey, I liked my purple bars.

it looks like they haven't updated the upload page yet, everything on the page is the same as the old layout

This is why dark themes are really bad. You can mitigate eye strain a lot by having a well lit room at night and not sitting in the dark. Dark themes are just counter intuitive

To be fair I do try and keep it well lit in here, but when I am working late into the night or just being a massive insomniac like usual it becomes a problem because my girlfriend sleeps at normal human times so I tend to go dark to avoid keeping her up, and to be honest I like the way a lot of them look, just easier on the eyes for me in general.
Hopefully this will be less of a problem when I move my PC into a different room soon-ish and set her up with my old one in here. No more worrying about that.

Most websites now usually have a max-width to combat that, Facepunch just stretches to whatever width.
I like having both tho
I find white on black to be much nicer to read and I think dark themes emphasize the content much better.
