maybe I'm wrong on this, but couldn't you in theory just relicense the music? or is there some issue preventing that?
Money. Or they may just straight up not allow you to renew. Because that's the way the music industry rolls.
I only ever really played Burnout 3, but I fucking loved that game. I played the crash mode almost exclusively, to the point where I'm not even sure if there was another mode. I'm pretty sure there was racing too, but I spent nearly all my time in the crash mode instead.
Fuck yes I loved this game. Unfortunately I lost my Origin account(stolen, probably from that massive Origin leak years ago) so even though I got the game on Steam I can't fucking play it because the game links to your EA/Origin account. Guess this is a chance to re-buy the game once it's out.

If you have anything like an email receipt from pre-theft you should be able to prove it's yours and get it back.
I wonder if the soundtrack will return, since music for videogames is often licensed only for a short period of time.
More importantly, let us have a custom soundtrack this time around
The Burnout series introduced me to a bunch of my favorite bands. Specifically Burnout Revenge, best licensed soundtrack IMO. I'd buy the shit out of Paradise again as long as EA doesn't add more "consumer purchasing opportunities" aka lootboxes/microtransactions.
This is fucking EA we are talking about. They are going to put fucking microtransactions and lootboxes into the damn game.
The only thing I didn't like about Paradise was how there was like 5 finish locations, and even though it was freeroam, certain routes were clearly the best option, so the races felt really repetitive. Also I preferred the old crash mode to rolling wreck or whatever it was called.
This is why I didn't take to Paradise. Instead of taking down other cars, in most races I'd find myself racing solo because everyone else had taken a different route (and the AI tends to stick together). Crash mode in Takedown has 100 levels and it's perfect, the Paradise version is rubbish in comparison.
I thought Burnout 3 was the perfect Burnout. It still retained a lot of the first two games but just refined into an amazing package. Not that Revenge and Paradise aren't good, but traffic checks tooks a lot of the difficulty out and an open world Burnout was what I always wanted as a kid, the fact that it doesn't force you into a specific track makes it a lot less tense. The final F1 car grand Prix in 3 was probably one of the most stressful gaming experiences I've had. There is no room to fuck up for basically a half hour at 200+ mph.
Burnout 3 Takedown was the very first game I 100%. Lots of fond memories and rage from not getting gold because I was .00001 seconds off.
I used to love Burnout Paradise, but I played it just yesterday and I have to say it hasn't aged that well. Driving is stiffer than I remember, crashes are unsatisfying (enemy cars are sure to find themselves irresistibly attracted to the nearest wall as soon as you lightly tap their bumper), and the free roam gets really grating after a while. Also, so many intro videos, so many menus, so many small but annoying quirks getting between you and the game. Flatout 1, 2 and UC - which I must've brought it up like 17 different times in the last month, because I can't deny they had me genuinely impressed and I desperately want my opinion validated - are a way stronger bet if you want crash-centric racing games on PC.
fucking port burnouts 1-4 to PC instead please
This needs to happen on PC. Takedown and Revenge were fantastic. Oh, and while you're at it, how about releasing HD remakes of Underground 2, Most Wanted and Carbon? Or at the very least put the originals on Origin. For fuck sakes, I'll give you money for them.
Underground and Underground 2 run really well on modern hardware when patched with fan-fixes. I play UG and UG2 at 5K, rock solid 60 FPS (which is not a given)?
Burnout 3 was the best in my opinion, revenge I remember having a horrible UI and having lots of grey and browns. Plus who can forget WE ARE THE LAZY GENERATION I would have expected a remake or spiritual successor to 3 before any of the other games.
Big Surf Island not being on PC was a crying shame. Probably remains high on my "best DLC/add-ons of all time" list.
It was more than shame, it was pure stupidity.
Burnout Paradise sucked dick though.
