Speaking of Karl Urban, last year he stopped by the 2000AD/Rebellion offices and he retweeted the series announcement. So who knows...
Dude holy fuck Urban, Rebellion & Dredd altogether seems too good to be true. Fingers crossed.
If it gets Karl Urban, it will be off to a great start.
Karl Urban is the law...
Rebellion is definitely kick-starting 2000 AD hype with this and their Rogue Trooper remaster. Would be cool to see more comic related stuff from companies other than DC and Marvel.
If Karl Urban, somehow, didn't know about this until the announcement, I guarantee he is now trying to pull every string he can to get himself back as Dredd. Ohh man, what if we get to see Judge Death and the gang? What about the other cities? Ohh man, there is so much awesome potential for this. I want to see Karl Urban do this: [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/Coldmute/mJQe4W.png[/t]
Am I the only one who wasn't the biggest fan of Urban as Dredd? I mean, he was a good actor and the movie kicked ass, but I didn't feel like he sold the role completely. He hasn't quite got the chin for it.

So probably.

I dont think theres actually a single human being on planet earth who could do Dredds chin justice. You would need to be severely deformed and/or have some kind of malignant tumor for it to be that large and be that shape.

Older people here might remember him from Tango and Cash:

Edit: Dammit, potato...

Although 2012 Dredd is great I'm not sure how well a skeleton, fire-man, scary suit of armor, and grinning zombie would fit into the relatively more realistic and grounded tone they had built. But I'm always up for some Dark Judge action!
I dont think theres actually a single human being on planet earth who could do Dredds chin justice. To be fair to Urban, I think part of the problem was just the helmet they gave him was too wide and bulky. It made his face look smaller by comparison.
What about Robert Z'Dar?
He's got a super wide jaw and chin but Dredds really puffs out at the jowels.
What about Robert Z'Dar?
He's dead.
Cameo at best. TV shows almost never get the big names
Whats it like were you are, in 1995?
Cameo at best. TV shows almost never get the big names
Karl Urban said he would do it and was even open to doing a Dredd Tv show.
