So, any way to re-enter the cryptomarket with smaller sums of money? Any altcoins with good outlooks?
So, any way to re-enter the cryptomarket with smaller sums of money? Any altcoins with good outlooks?
You can enter with any amount of money. Coinbase charges a fee of about 3.8%, minimum fee $0.99, minimum order $2, for buying. Altcoins are extremely risky and if you don't need an ROI tomorrow, bitcoins are the better investment.
I'm just holding on to a few litecoin and some omisego, already made $50 due to the spike in litecoin price.

I mean, that's how I turned some Chinacoins (that was the name of the altcoin) into 36 BTC back then. High risk, high reward.
Question from someone who barely knows anything cryptocurrencies Is it worth buying bitcoins for like 5-10 bucks just to see what happens? Its not a big loss if the course starts dropping
Question from someone who barely knows anything cryptocurrencies Is it worth buying bitcoins for like 5-10 bucks just to see what happens? "Small" investments on bitcoin are still usually 50-100 dollars. But even at that range with it's current price you still might not make anything significant.
The people making a killing in this are the ones who own multiple, whole bitcoins, and not fractions. With the price of entry for a whole bitcoin in the 10k range you've got to dump a lot of money into a LOT of uncertainty to win big at this point.
To be fair they said that when I got in at 4k.
Fair enough. However the higher the price of entry, the more true the statement becomes. Also in your case, if you got in on BTC when it was at 4k and you bought a whole coin for 4k, you' would have a little more than double your original purchase price. While that is a decent haul, it's nothing incredible like some people who own 25+ coins from the days it was under $100
not really 1000 vs 1000000 your losses or gains are relative to what you can afford
Exactly, which is why the volatility of this market makes it almost fruitless to get in on it at low value. Even if you win big at 100 dollars in and the price sky rockets, what you would end up making is negligible. And if you lose, well, a couple hundred down the drain is better than a couple thousand anyways.

Which one would you guys suggest in that case?

Question regarding altcoins, where do you lads actually trade them? I use an exchange that only deals with major coins like BTC and etherium and im interesting in expanding my horizons/taking risks with some of the profits I've been making.
Are altcoins a currency of its or just different ones in general? Which one would you guys suggest in that case?
Altcoins per definition are any cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin itself. What you are looking for (low investment, but potential huge reward) is - to use a term from stock trading -, a "penny stock". If i had an answer as to which one to go for, I'd invest in that particular coin myself. This is the up and downside with penny stocks. High risk because its very hard to know for certain which one ends up winning out, high reward because if you do pick the right one, the rewards will be explosive growth. You can trade many altcoins there aswell as more advanced trading instruments such as making stop loss orders etc. (I.e: If coin *** price drops 10% over short time >then sell all *** coins. Or; If coin ¤¤¤ price goes down to under x amount of dollars >then buy coin ¤¤¤ for 2k usd or whatever you decide) Only reasons I don't use gdax myself are partly because i only hold bitcoins right now, and also i haven't gotten around to it yet. Read up on different exchanges and decide for yourself. Gdax seems by far to be the most popular choice by the serious traders right now is all.
Gdax doesn't have many trading pairs at all, I don't trade but if you want to trade something other than btc/eth/ltc you need to go somewhere like poloinex
Just passed 10k, crazy!
Just passed 10k, crazy!
That means the pizza that guy bought for 10,000 bitcoins in 2010 would now be a 100 million dollar transaction.

do we have a bitcoin thread? I'm pretty inclined to trust an internet comment with my financial decisions right now How do people feel about long term investing in etherium or etherium classic? If I had $500 and dumped most of it on a smart decision and some greedy little part of it on a goldrush what are my options? Any word on the tether thing? Is anyone shorting this shit?

imagine if you had bought like 200 dollars if this shit when it first came out hahahahah
I wanted to buy 20 euros worth of bitcoin last friday (nov 24). I couldn't cause the site I would've used needed a verification, since I couldn't purchase with my credit card directly. My verification got declined, even though I sent them a picture of my ID as requested, and the second review process still hasn't ended, even though they promise 1 business day for each review. I'm a bit pissed right now, I know it wasn't a huge amount but still.

They say "picture" but what they actually mean is "scan".
I've lost the meaning of "correction" by this point. I've been waiting for one for half a year. Is this the fabled normie adoption or is it the biggest bull leading up to the greatest dump and crash in crypto history...? I don't know what to think anymore.
