Can somebody tell me what Bitcoins are good for now? Like, actual use. Not hypothetical use or ideals.
Can somebody tell me what Bitcoins are good for now? Like, actual use. Not hypothetical use or ideals.
Buying illegal shit
I'm trying to buy a few IOTA and QASH but I legit don't even know where to start ohgolly. Where can I actually put my basic cash funds into coins I just got Binance and HolyTransaction accounts
In most big cities Bitcoin ATMs are a thing. No clue what the fees are like though.
Can somebody tell me what Bitcoins are good for now? Like, actual use. Not hypothetical use or ideals.
Speculation.
Can somebody tell me what Bitcoins are good for now? Like, actual use. Not hypothetical use or ideals.
Speculation, Currency if you live in a country like Venezuela where your actual currency is worthless but electricity is subsidized.
Wait so you can't cash out as real currency now?
Buying illegal shit
How? It lost all of the characteristics of a currency by now. Transactions are ridiculously expensive and SLOOOW.
I made a few grand on bitcoin, used it to get rid of one of my cars and buy a new one that we needed. I do wish I still had my btc but I am happy I can say I was successful with it.
Speculation, Currency if you live in a country like Venezuela where your actual currency is worthless but electricity is subsidized.
It's only really useful as a currency if you want to pay $5-20 per transaction [editline]11th December 2017[/editline] Which is why coins like IOTA actually have potential and bitcoin is just a bubble powered by hype
i genuinely feel like most exchanges are full of morons atm people making the weirdest decisions at the worst possible times may benefit me but i still struggle to understand how these people function

IOTA for one is pretty novel and one I've staked some money on, but at the moment it's centralized due to the Coordinator. Making it decentralized means that an attacker with over 33% of computing power in the network can manipulate the network, compared to most coins like Bitcoin where that percentage is 51%. And because in IOTA's case you don't have dedicated groups running miners 24/7 but instead the network is protected by users performing transactions, you'd have to have a massive amount of transactions running through the network before it could be considered safe without the Coordinator.
How? It lost all of the characteristics of a currency by now. I'd imagine people are able to look past the transaction fees and the speed if they really want to order some drugs or something.
Looking at buying some litecoin in Canada. Any recommendations for what to use?
Looking at buying some litecoin in Canada. Any recommendations for what to use?
https://www.quadrigacx.com/ You can fund your account using interac e-Transfer.
https://www.quadrigacx.com/ You can fund your account using interac e-Transfer.
These verifications that I need to go through are bullshit. Why do I have to provide my identity?
These verifications that I need to go through are bullshit. Why do I have to provide my identity?
Every exchange is like that. Fraud prevention. What's wrong with that, anyway? You have to provide your ID at your bank, don't you? [editline]12th December 2017[/editline] e.g. I h4x someone's bank account, sign up for an exchange, dump all the dollars in exchange for bitcoin. Oops, now that it's in bitcoin it can't be reversed! You know, things like that.
keep your eyes on stellar
Alt-Coins are the way to go.
Newpunch Coins are obviously the best.
These verifications that I need to go through are bullshit. Why do I have to provide my identity?
Because your (or maybe the exchange's ) government requires you (them) to.
Putting money in Litecoin a month ago wasn't such a bad idea after all!
These verifications that I need to go through are bullshit. Why do I have to provide my identity?
It takes forever to get verified on quadrigacx. By the time I get one, i'd probably lost thousands.
Putting money in Litecoin a month ago wasn't such a bad idea after all!
literally could have invested in any top 10 two weeks ago and made fat stacks. ffs. this keeps happening.
Coinbase is ez verification. Took me about 20 minutes. It only has BTC, ETH and LTC. Bought bit of everything. From my understanding - I can easily trade any of those 3 for altcoins via exchanges like Binance without having to go through verification as they require only verification for dealing with EUR/USD/GBP. So afaik I can - transfer LTC -> Binance -> Exchange LTC into anything else, trade and then convert back into LTC and back to Coinbase? I am prob misunderstanding something though as I am pretty retarded when it comes to these things.
Fuuuucking hell these Bitcoin transaction fees are crazy
the worst bit about all this was spending like 6btc between SR and it's spinoffs lmao
Wow, verification on these exchanges are taking ages, I was planning on buying a few LTC last night st $350 each, just for it to jump $100 [editline]12th December 2017[/editline] Seriously, by the time it takes me to get verified, price will probably jump a few hundred more. Can anyone recommend somewhere that doesnt take ages to get verified and works in Canada?
