It read to me more like they've already planned out what movies they want to do and what stories they want to tell- not like they arbitrarily decided some high number and rolled with it for no reason.
Yea Marvel isn't DC with their cinematic universe, they actually have stories they want to tell
There's no point where he wasn't just RDJ. That's why he's been such a great Tony Stark, because he's just been himself and had freedom with it to a good extent.
also he was cheap. when iron man was put into production rdj was a washed up former coke head, which meant that they could stretch the shoe string budget, and he was like one of the least paid actors on that movie since they had bridges, paltro and howard. also, while sherlock holmes might have rebuilt some of his career it was iron man that made him a super star again

That didn't last long.
Lol what's going on with Hawkeye's hair
He is now Pidgeottoeye

Oh shit yeah, I remember that being a thing. Everyone was skeptical of having this older washed up dude play this super hero. It looked more like they were throwing him a bone more than anything - another superhero movie that would basically be boring and self-contained like the spider-man movies and fantastic four. So wild to see how far it's come since then

I can't believe Mark Ruffalo has dermatemeculitis.
Someone find him some lizard urine.

He can play Piccolo, and then I made a dumb post.
tbh as much as I love the marvel films you'll never see many truly stellar performances from them, not that the actors are terrible, but they mostly just blend into one giant milkshake.
I'm still mad that Captain wasn't going full badass in Civil war, he should have been absolutely furious at how america turned out, he should have had those long, almost unending rant, instead he was just quiet for whatever reason. Stark turned into a bit of a bitch too.

I think the idea of using the hammer as a distraction just to punch someone in the face is very funny
if "quality" wasn't such a four letter word when it comes to these comics this would actually be a great page
Lady Thor had a lot of pages that gave you the sense it could have been good really done if they weren't morons.
Even the [UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ABOUT ISRAEL???] thing could have actually been gold if they weren't smashing their head against the wall while making it.
I mean, at least they're attempting to do something different now. Thor 3 was a huge step in the right direction and because it actually made money at the box office, they'll probably attempt more weird stuff now.
I haven't seen Ragnarok since from the trailers it looks like a repeat of Guardians of the Galaxy. I already saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 a few months ago. For me Ragnarok should've been something epic.

You haven't seen the film, but you absolutely know how it turns out?

how do you even think its like GotG from the trailer

literally the only thing similar is that it screams 80s but its in totally different flavors

It'd be a great page if you removed all the dialogue.

But how does that pander to the lowest common denominator?
I like how some people automatically assume that just because Marvel wants to push out a ton of films it means it'll be bland, boring shit and not stories people actually want to tell.
MCU has been awesome this year, strongest it's ever been and it's likely to go up over the years. Thor 3 ruled.

I feel like if they pandered to the lowest common denominator they'd be making money.

Your mistake is trying to apply real world politics and history to the MCU timeline. We already know from Iron Man 3 that the president of the United States in 2013 was just some made up guy, not Obama. That leads me to assume his successor isn't Trump, which means that the present day country isn't in nearly as bad shape in the movies as it is in real life.
Now, you could argue that Marvel movies should be tackling real world politics much more blatantly, but that's never going to happen, because Disney has money to make. They weren't going to make Captain America: Civil War about the rise of the alt-right and Trumpism in the MCU universe, because sadly a large amount of movie tickets are bought by racist MAGA hat wearers.

I'm more talking about within that universe, I have no idea where I said real world politics should apply.
America in that universe post-Avengers in Civil war ended up trying to deal with super hero's in a really dumb way, technically it was the UN as well really.
They had the stupidest arguments for adding huge amounts of bureaucracy to the matter, "But what if they don't absolutely perfectly save the world!!!!" basically. But Capt didn't show any amounts of visible anger.

Fair enough. But boiling down the UN's arguments as expecting perfection from the Avengers seems a little unfair, especially after the Sokovia affair.

One of the main arguments was that because people got hurt in their attempt to save the world, they should essentially be a call in task force, which doesn't even make any sense
its like a man runs into a burning building and saves 3 people... but because 1 person was left he's blamed for that persons death. It's ignoring the fact that hero's can't save everyone.
They were doing the correct thing for the dumbest possible reasons. Yeah we should watch super hero's, but there are better reasons for it. Batman of the DC universe has the right idea, because he always has the weakness of his allies down.

I chalk it up to Perlmutter getting his ass kicked out and the films coming out now being fully escaped from his grubby fingers.
