nickelodeon where I live just airs these weird "teen" sitcoms because kids these days are not watching TV as much as they did 10-15 years ago. Its pretty sad

Cartoon Network seems to be planning on chasing maybe their best era of cartoons ever with shit like Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and Regular Show with just, endless trash
They have low to no standards for the new shows on their network, like, Teen Titans Go is made by people who not only didn't see the original Teen Titans but shit on it and go out of their way to piss off the fans
People crying "the original fanbase stopped watching only kids watch it now!" need to get a grip. It's a kids show, always has and always will. The target audience is kids just as before. Manchildren are not the target audience. It didn't get worse, you just grew up and are not nostalgic for the new eps.
in the case of Teen Titans go, actually, it is worse. and I speak as some one who normally enjoys cartoons.
but Kids don't have developed standards yet, and stupid works with them.

Oh my god, this. I don't see why they haven't rebooted more game shows. If they can bring Steve Harvey in and make Family Feud interesting again, you could do the same for shit like Double Dare or Figure It Out or something. Or hell, try another concept like All That where it's basically just a kids version of SNL.

This pisses me off to no end because there's tons of actually good shit in the Cartoon Network line up, but they pad half of the day with the shittier version of Teen Titans (which loves to joke about how the previous Teen Titans cartoon was so much better and ended on a cliffhanger, but the show still is unfunny and randumb). And all the classics they either throw onto Boomerang (which is part of an extended channel package) or just never air.
I still mostly keep Cartoon Network on in the background until Adult Swim/Toonami comes on for ambiance/quick glances during loading times, but when Teen Titans or Ben 10 comes on I physically get up and change the channel because even it being on in the background is grating.
At least Gumball takes up a decent chunk too but sheesh

Wrong in the original season the target audience was kids but they also made it for adults to watch with their kids as well. There were many adult jokes that were hidden in the show for adults to find but they were hidden well enough that they would fly over a kids head.
