I'm always surprised how many people that don't understand the concept of different tastes.
I think it's because this really has nothing with taste to do. It's been played everywhere. You couldn't go out on a Friday without hearing that song blasted somewhere. It's all over the radio as well, even still. Shops play it, stores play it, it's everywhere. Still is.
like i said before, this song doesn't deserve to be most viewed, same goes with despacito
Honestly, I find it kind of amazing that some of you have apparently never heard this song. I listen almost exclusively to heavy metal with a bit of (pop) punk mixed in and I've heard this song a few times by virtue of radios in a few places.
like i said before, this song doesn't deserve to be most viewed, same goes with despacito
You don't decide what deserves to be the most viewed song and what not.
This song is only from 2015? What the fuck, it feels like i've been hearing it for years.
I probably have heard this song before but since it sounds so generic it probably faded into the background noise of wherever like background noise music always does. Yes I go to malls and listen to radio and shit.
yeah like tbh i just listened to it rn and like i literally just forgot it fucking existed again. like what are the lyrics idk what the fucking beat was even like yeah its a song and its good enough i guess but its not even worth remembering esp. considering theres like actually better music out there lmao
This thread introduced gf and I to this song. We never heard it before. I personnaly don't like it and find it difficult to understand why of all Youtube videos, this one would trump all the others. Mind you, I'm not calling the song shit, it's just not my cup if tea. Then again, it's the same for every "dear God, put me on radio" kind of songs. Oh and feel free to falsly accuse me of being a basement dweller though. I like helping other people feel moraly superior.
That's incredible it has so many views. The Fast and the Furious franchise is totally cheesy but I've always loved the first one. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel seemed to have a great chemistry and came off as just genuinely cool guys. The song is okay too. Its been played to death but I could name a bunch more I'd rather not hear in its place.
I heard See You Again at least 5 times a day back in 2015 when Furious 7 was out, but I definitely haven't heard it in over a year now
Don't worry, despacito will beat this.
Jesus fucking christ, have mercy on us, we've heard it enough!
"Generic" is too much of compliment. This song is shit. I've heard it before but it was just a mush in the "boring songs playing on top 40 radio" drawer in my head. Gangnam Style at least had some silly pazzaz to it.
wow why isnt death grips takyon the most played video music is dead because people like tastes that arnt mine
I guess i was one of the lucky ones that never heard of this till today. I mean it's a okay song, but like most music these days, it lacks a lot of the ideas that i grew fond of in music. To each to their own i say, Let them enjoy this song and i'll be at the corner listening to 10 hours of loud sounds or whatever i listen to that isn't funk or soul.
I have never heard this song. But I never listen to the radio, I don't pay attention to music while I'm out and none of my friends are into this kind of music. Seems pretty easy to avoid honestly.
Same here. None of my friends care about music that isn't weebshit
I think this song might have played at like a store I've been at? I sort of recognize the silent piano -bit with "And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again" but no other parts of the song sound familiar at all. It's kind of incredible, I've been surfing all around the web and listening to tons of random songs on Spotify and the actual song has never come up. With almost 3 GODDAMN BILLION VIES!
Never heard this song when out and about either. I guess I'd rather stick to hearing the overplayed classic rock and pop songs in stores instead of this shit though.
Huh, never heard it. I got a new job 6 months ago, the radio is never turned off in that office. I'm stuck hearing the same bloody songs on repeat all day every day and even this song has either never played or never grabbed my attention. Weird how this has so many views when you consider the hype that something like Gangnam Style generated.
The song is only really enjoyable if you're a fan of the FnF series because it really is a great farewell to Paul Walker. Especially in the scene of the movie where he leaves. The writers got extremely lucky that they've been building an exit for his character since the previous movie when he was still very much alive. Him leaving the crew makes a lot of sense in-universe too
wow why isnt death grips takyon the most played video music is dead because people like tastes that arnt mine
that's a genuinely good song, i'm not sure if you're being serious or not
IIRC he was a pretty big figure in car circles just outside of the movie. But it's a pretty rubbish song imo.
Pretty much the same as James Dean. Big car guy, active in the community, and was killed in a Porsche.
lol at all the people calling this trash and saying gangnam style was better like they're both not hot garbage
lol at all the people calling this trash and saying gangnam style was better like they're both not hot garbage
Yeah but Gangnam Style was shlock, You enjoy it like you would enjoy a B-movie. This song cruises solely on sentimental value for a terrible franchise, otherwise it's just shit.

Gangnam Style isn't the most viewed video anymore... Those were the good times!
A couple years ago some middle aged drunk invited me to his garage and played this song even though he isn't into what he calls "nigger music", he was a little strange. Haven't heard it since until now.
I work in a mall 3 days a week. I don't hear this song on the radio there. Oh no, what a basement dweller. People are expressing surprise this is more played than that song because it's frankly surprising that a song that doesn't seem to be that popular is that played and popular.
How have most of you avoided this song
do you remember every song you hear in public? This song doesnt even sound unique or impressive. Music is just background noise 99% of the time.
In all seriousness, I can't comprehend that anyone with a healthy social life has never heard this song
Whether a social life is healthy or not doesn't depend on what music they've heard. Not all people go "places" with their friends, doesn't mean shit's necessarily unhealthy. I honestly couldn't tell you whether I've heard this or not, but I have a pretty healthy social life.
