Considering how surprisingly good Bridge Constructor Stunts was, Im actually quite excited for this one. And those pictures do look pretty good with that nice clean artstyle that Portal has.
Im also really excited if Vinny from Vinesauce will play this, His Bridge Contructor Stunts playthrough was amazing.

The pachinko shitfest is the reason they're not making regular MGS. This bridge constructor game is not the reason Valve isn't making another Portal.

Indeed. Its Valve's own pachinko machines - the lootbox portions of CS:GO, TF2, and Dota 2 - that are preventing them from making a new Portal and a certain other game that ends with the number 3.

It would be one thing if valve fired all their people working on half life 3 (which is impossible because nobody has to work on any set project at valve) and then just started shopping out half life to whoever the fuck, but that is simply not the case here. Valve still owns Half-life. Valve can still make Half-life. Just because a company made a spin-off game with Portal/HL2 aesthetics and assets, which HAS been done before, doesn't mean the series is functionally over. The only thing you're mad about is that there still isn't a Half-Life 3, which at this point is entirely your fault. It's been ten years, get over it and accept that you're never going to get another entry in the series again. and if I'm wrong, it'll be a pleasant surprise for everyone.
This is nothing like that Konami MGS pachinko shitfest.
Valve isn't parading around the husk of their dead franchise by stuffing it full of gambling and throwing it in arcades. Valve hasn't fired the director of the game series and blacklisted the employees that worked on the game, nor are they trying to actively keep them from getting other jobs.

Sure, this game can be fun, but I can also understand why some people might feel this is very underwhelming. Personally, I did not expect any better than this so I do not really care to be quite frank.

The devs aren't to blame for people circulating dumb rumors and posting shit headlines to rile people up.

I agree, devs are not to blame for this one, but it's easy to understand why some might feel this is underwhelming, especially after the disappointment with Artifact.
