I can't wait to see this bomb as hard as the Xbox One
Why?
I can't wait to see this bomb as hard as the Xbox One
Xbox One hasn't bombed(yet) at all. At around 30 million sold, it's doing OK. It's just that PS4 sales have exceeded everyone's expectations, since it's selling like it is PS2 all over again.
Idk if they will, they probably finalized the HW design before Ryzen released. Maybe they've been cooperating with AMD about something like that though
It's gotta be ryzen based, there's a reason MS held off for so long whereas Sony dropped the PS4 pro super early. It'll be interesting if the GPU is Vega or Polaris based though.

Edit: Meant Vega, obviously.
I think asking digital foundry on board is a sign that Microsoft is incredibly confident that they're satsified with this console for rigorous first time testing The PS4 pro can play 4k games but only at 30fps from memory. If Microsoft can successfully pull this off and a 1080p 60fps machine then PlayStation is going to have a true competitor

I do wonder how the internals will look like though. Anyhow, there's no such thing as a 30FPS output limit in 4K on the PS4 Pro. I'll say it a million times :v: It can both render and output 2160p@60fps, period. [editline]o[/editline] If the PS3 could output 4K, i'm sure we'd see a few titles do it even on that machine.
It's not about the PS4 Pro having a 30 fps limit when running games at 4K, it's just that a lot of game developers limit the framerate to 30 since the PS4 Pro often appears to have issues reaching a smooth 60 fps.
The same rings true for any hardware. It's entirely up to the developer to make sure their game runs at the framerate they want. There's no arbitrary limiter in any modern console that prevents them from running games at a rock solid 60fps. Every time there's an issue with framerate in these games, it's an issue with the game, not the hardware.
Here are the videos, haven't watched them yet myself:
DF did some testing a while back that showed that PS4 Pro could've also been a 1080p 60FPS box - at least most of the time. Trouble is that the PS4 Pro (and afaik Scorpio) doesn't use a more powerful CPU, so you end up with a bottleneck there.
I know Battlefield, since it isn't capped at 30 like most console games, runs at a solid 60fps on the Pro in Singleplayer. Both 4 and 1. In 64 player multiplayer it can dip, but 24 players? No problem staying at 60, and Battlefield 1 has increased Anti-Aliasing over the regular PS4
