Okay like I get how this is the top of the line in its field or whatever and that this is some kind of technical wizardry and it's highly complex and very difficult to get to this point, like I can appreciate that But is this actually entertaining outside of when it fails or looks odd? Everything accomplished on that stage could have been done more effectively, with better presentation, in higher quality, and look much more realistic, in just a regular old pre-rendered animated short projected onto a screen. What gives? Like, do people have to pay to see this, to go to this thing?
It's just an attraction in Disney World, specifically in the Magic Kingdom park. You want to do it? Do it. Want to ride Space Mountain? Then do that. It's like any other park out there. In the parks that Disney World has, you need these kind of attractions. They cater to every age group out there versus Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks which are basically a giant area of Rollercoaster Tycoon aka "how many coasters can we jam in this area". 90% of the show is actually a film with a small Lincoln segment in the middle. The ending is what the show is very well known for. Personally, I've been looking forward to it reopening. I've always like the Hall of Presidents, regardless of whoever is in office. It's not a political statement, it's literally the history of the presidency and that's it.
Funfact: There is actually an SCP similiar to this, but instead if you've committed a crime, you replace whatever frozen entity is stuck in the hall.
Which one was this?
Trump looks like that weird mutant kid in Akira

It looks very good in the video though.

People go there for cool robots and the historic feel of it (pretty much westworld without the sentience or the murder)

What gives?
It's been too long since I've been to the Hall of Presidents, but I've been to "Great Moments with Mr Lincoln" at Disneyland and I greatly enjoy that one. Video doesn't capture the effect of the animatronics very well. In person it's fascinating to see, due to the very high quality of "the skills of the sculptor and the talents of the artist". Seeing a human-sized figure in real life on a stage is completely different from watching a video, no matter how well-edited it may be.
Like, do people have to pay to see this, to go to this thing?
At Disney parks you just pay admission, not for any individual rides or attractions.
[t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DRZUNLZUQAA7tH0.jpg[/t] look at the lips. the mouth is clearly based on hillary. trump's lips aren't shaped like that. it's a fucking repurposed clinton bot lmao
I heard them talking about it on the radio today too. They talked about some photoshops and how it looked, eventually reaching the conclusion that they made Hillary Clinton, then she lost, so now it's just a Clinton anamatronic with Trump's ears and sort of trump hair glued on. It went to conspiracy level talks. It really does look like Hillary Clinton witlh a trump wig.
So what happened since the last time we heard major news on this? I thought there was a hold up and that Trump didn't actually want to give them lines? Plus, wasn't there intentions to not implement him regardless? This is still really hilarious though, that it all went through.
My guess is Disney removes the hall of presidents with in the next 10 years. For two reasons, one disney is moving away from anything that isn't a disney IP, epcot is getting a full blown IP makeover. And two more obviously is that politics have managed to get even more toxic and it isn't doing disney any favors.
repurposed clinton bot
Why do we live in a time where this is a thing

And since Americana is such a big part of the Disney thing (Walt had a huge fascination with Abe Lincoln) I doubt it's going anywhere.

Walt Disney World will always need a counterpart for Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
Wouldn't surprise me if Trump demands to be taken out of it because they just made him out.of a repurposed Hillary bot. That or demand a brand new one.

Hahahahahahahaha That poor fucking robot, The facial expression literally says it all. "Kill me!"

They have such a high level of perfection in their parks, I would think they'd sooner scrap it and start over than reuse a Hilary animatronic. All of the animatronics are uncanny-looking anyway, so of course, it'd look inaccurate. They've had close races before, and this happened, then. They've also had over a year since Trump was confirmed the winner. It may be fugly, but Disney definitely wouldn't say "shit, we thought Hilary would win, just reuse that one."

Just a reminder, the 'repurposed Clinton bot' thing was a joke by a random Twitter user.
Just a reminder, the 'repurposed Clinton bot' thing was a joke by a random Twitter user.
Yes. But it looks juuuuussst close enough that it stops and makes you do a double take.
Only in those pictures, on tape it looks fine. Could be altered or taken just right
Yes he is. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/Khdsqx.png[/t]
He looks like Brezhnev :v:
That the robot was so clearly originally Hillary Clinton is amusing because it simultaneously embarrasses both Clinton and Trump. The Imagineers thought Trump was such a fucking Clown that they premade a Clinton bot. And then Clinton lost to him. Truly, this is something that people of all political backgrounds can enjoy.
i gotta say that was really presidential i wish robo trump was the president and not regular trump
i cant wait for it to become self-aware and start building a wall around the Mexican pavilion
