"Vaccine injured children"
The only way it will injure you is if
1. You have a compromised immune system
2. You get exposed before the vaccine can do its work
Both things the parent and doctor must work together to check for.

I must make a correction here: There's also the off chance that a vaccine, if improperly stored, may revert to its virulent state, causing the disease, or a rare immune reaction that might occur and cause adverse health effects. But there is no data to currently suggest that vaccines, in their present state, are responsible for chronic health conditions, and any complications, if they occur, are extremely rare.
Having an opinion or idea is different than carrying out an action.
You can have the opinion/idea "If I drive on the shoulder of the highway to cut traffic, I'll get to work quicker". If the law forbids you to drive on the shoulder of the road when there is no emergency situation, you are going to face consequences.
His actions got his license suspended, not his opinion.
His opinions caused his actions which got his license suspended.
You can hold the opinion without doing the action but arguing that its wrong to say his opinion got his license revoked is kinda just semantics garbage.
"FP's not an echo chamber"
You guys are being the ignorance you hate, saying he should goto prison for his beliefs without even hearing his reasoning. I am pro vaccinations and I fully believe in the science behind them and all, but doctors have been wrong before, it happens a lot, and blindly following what other people say and not even trying to hear a perspective besides your own is hypocritical.
Lmao do me a favor and stay the fuck out of the medical field.
Being a doctor, nurse, emt, paramedic, respiratory therapist, WHATEVER, depends on you being up to date in evidence based research and incorporating that into your care.
Refusing to give vaccines because you don't believe in them is downright spitting in the face of scientific evidence. When youre a doctor, there is no room for opinion when it comes to stuff like vaccines.
You can actually do a good bit of harm to a community by teaching your patients quack false shit like vaccines cause autism. Doctors are supposed to be experts in their field, and so people look to them as an authority on shit like this.
You don't want an engineer who builds a major bridge putting it together with weak and unsteady materials and being all like "I'm going to tap into my hidden Chakras and will a bit of my soul into keeping this bridge together, so I OK it for traffic" so why tf would you want a doctor doing similar shit

Yes, we listen and practice according to scientific research. No one in this entire thread has been saying they think vaccines are a bad idea.
If you'd read the article, the doctor's exact motives were not stated. There really is a good chance that he's a nut that may be spreading misinformation, but there may be other reasons behind his actions such as protecting a patient's rights, which brings an interesting ethical conversation that we need to have as a society.
If you're going to hold up your pride, refuse to keep an open mind and admit that we've been wrong in the past, do me a favour and stay the fuck out of the medical field.

Please explain to me how this could possibly be in defense of patients' rights lmao. Unless he was standing up to doctors forcing people to get vaccines, I can't see it.
Nobody should fault a doctor who doesn't give vaccines to people who conciously choose not to get them, but it is ABSOLUTELY the doctor's responsibility to stick to scientific evidence backed research when educating patients, and telling patients quack shit about vaccines being harmful when there is no reliable evidence to that point is grossly harmful.

Also you misunderstood me. I don't give a shit about anyone in this thread's opinions about vaccines, nor did I imply that those opinions mattered. This doctor's actions are all that matters here.
If there comes a point where the scientific evidence shifts and we find actual harm in vaccines, great! Medicine changes with knowledge. But we can't educate people on knowledge that isn't there.
