The world is just going insane. A perfectly serviceable and good-looking car, traded away for some meme sauce.
Like damn man, I wish I got some of that sauce, I could trade it for some good shit if I tried I'm sure. [editline]14th October 2017[/editline]
That's what I meant. 3 was good, but by the time it rolled around, the fanbase had become awful and it feels slightly embarrassing to say you watch the show now, just by association.
Imo it's worse to be one of the ones who're members of the weird-ass anti-fanbase where they have to bitch and moan all the time because ??? Not saying you are, but it seems to be the hip new thing to do and it's fuckin dumb. I'll gladly tell people I watch R&M, because it's just a fucking cartoon that I find enjoyable to watch and I'd rather be some dude who watches it than anyone who'd try and capitalize on me saying I watch it.
Volkswagens are shit boxes, I think he got a pretty good deal.
My 97 GTI is sick as fuck get outta here
My 97 GTI is sick as fuck get outta here
Maybe if it has a VR6 and a stick. otherwise it has all the speed of a Toyota, the reliability of a Chrysler and the serviceability of a Cadillac.
the reliability of a Chrysler
what the fuck? The 2.0 litre engine for the old Golf is fucking indestructible, you don't know what you're talking about. I had that car for 3 years, thrashed the fuck out of it doing high RPM gear changes while daily driving and had tonnes of fun and never had any problems with it. It wasn't the fastest car but god it was fun. VAG went to shit after like, 2006
I don't understand how a show manages to gain such a retarded portion of its fanbase so rapidly and out of nowhere. This is so bafflingly idiotic that I can't even appropriately articulate how I feel watching these idiots ruin their fucking lives over some shit meme sauce from a cartoon show. I would love for Mc'Donalds to just release the sauce as a regular selection and completely devalue the item so that any moron that spent several hundreds of dollars obtaining it feels like a damn fool, I can't think of anything more cathartic than that.
Now I'm wishing I actually went out and tried to get some of this sauce. Not to eat it, but to sell it to some braindead fuckface on the internet.
The shear foolishness of something like this is pretty disapointing. The fact that people are selling the sauce for 12k on ebay and trading cars for the sauce is just proof positive that some people have more money than they know what to do with.
they could just give it straight to me tbh
Dude was doing it for views, but still that is pretty damn stupid
This is only worth a lot of money. Like, millions.
If the thing has mechanical problems, then the sauce is probably worth more anyway.
Yea, it sucks that cars literally can not be worked on and once something goes wrong, it can't be fixed. Especially older Golfs where parts are ultra cheap and easy to find. On another note, this meme sauce bullshit does have a silver lining. Anyone you know who got overly obsessed with it has given you plenty of justification to completely disassociate yourself with them. Back in the day you would talk about something you found cool with people you know in real life. Now you can go to a forum or subreddit all about that one thing and immerse yourself in it. Then you inevitably become a toxic piece of shit and become one of the many people ruining the fanbase. [editline]15th October 2017[/editline] LOL pickle rick amirite guys?
I traded a car for a handle of jim beam and a pizza once so I completely understand that said the rotted out corolla was worth way less than the jim beam and the pizza
Yea, it sucks that cars literally can not be worked on and once something goes wrong, it can't be fixed.
have you ever fixed a fucked up car before? they can easily get to the point where they are not worth fixing or would be too much of a pain in the ass. also any car that is more than 10-15 years old is not going to be common in a junkyard, they do not stick around that long especially not shitty econo cars.
Especially older Golfs where parts are ultra cheap and easy to find.
not in the US
have you ever fixed a fucked up car before? they can easily get to the point where they are not worth fixing or would be too much of a pain in the ass.
Yeah, this happened to my Golf 4. It was the first car I ever owned, absolutely loved it with all of my heart. Sadly, after getting close to 200k kilometers the head gasket started leaking oil into the coolant. Still a good car, though.
Wtf are Volkwagens different in America than in Europe? In Ireland anyway they're generally seen as very good cars. Apparently in the UK as well
LOL pickle rick amirite guys?
Literally all of the people I've ever seen say this are people whining about other people saying it
Wtf are Volkwagens different in America than in Europe? In Ireland anyway they're generally seen as very good cars. My girlfriend has a Golf, I was impressed enough to buy a GTI, I have nothing negative to say about it. VW is definitely a popular brand here.
If the thing has mechanical problems, then the sauce is probably worth more anyway.
Even if every single component on the car was broken, the scrap would be more than you're likely to get for some sauce [editline]16th October 2017[/editline] Personally I LOVE VW, especially the old type I's/II's, but I don't know what it is about American VW that it seems once the car hits 5-7 years old they just fall apart so I would never buy one. The Golf seems to be their best (most reliable) model, though

Its a great car. Its designed well enough to where anything that goes wrong can be easily fixed.
As they're not huge monsters that guzzle gas and fuck up wildlife not really surprised Golfs don't do well in america tbh

Just with a nicer looking body, better interior, and so on and so forth.
