the biggest fucking irony is in the same interview they mention people not knowing who Arthur is like it's a good thing to bring him back as he's not well known
Bringing back Firebrand was pretty cool though.
A lot of their explanations just scream "we're not allowed to say Marvel didn't let us put these characters in so we're making up a different reason".
Characters are just functions eh?

Yeah and they'll bring him back to this MvC because they're going to make a modern movie about him.
Or so leaks say.
Peter Rosas: If you were to actually think about it, these characters are just functions. They're just doing things. Magneto, case and point, is a favorite because he has eight-way dash and he's really fast, right? So our more technical players, all they want to do is triangle jump and that kind of stuff. Well guess what, Nova can do the same thing, Captain Marvel can do the same thing. Ultron can do the same thing. Go ahead and try them out.
Fuuuuuuuuck off. Maybe some people like playing as Magneto because he's fucking Magneto, you unscrupulous spoon headed mackerel salesman.
I usually only picked X-Men characters in the last two games. Why would I even bother buying MvCI now? :frown:

What a terrible response to the questions. Why would you break down the characters to just functions when your game is literally BIG IP vs BIG IP?
The entire reason anyone buys your game is because they want to play as the characters and make She-Hulk punch out Phoenix Wright or whatever. Don't cover up bad executive meddling by saying that your characters don't matter and that there's a bunch that play the same.
how hard will this be pushed for evo?

I keep seeing people making this comparison but I don't see it. Captain America's body in MvC:I is no where near as exaggerated as in the comic.

Doesn't make it less terrible tough.

True, but it's still not as bad as the comic. You really can't compare the two.
The only 'X-Men' character Marvel even likes nowadays is Deadpool, I'm not suprised they wanted to phase out characters from MvC especially considering their treatment of the franchise in the comics.
On that note, I'm suprised Deadpool isnt even in this one.
