Is this what happens when a writer creates an Elseworlds story that, unfortunately, isn't actually Elseworlds and thus shits over everything so hard that it makes you wonder how they even got approved in the first place?

They've been thriving off of pissing off their fanbase, horrific quality control, terrible writing, and their patronizing/outright offensive in some cases attempts at forced diversity, then trying to hide behind the shield of socially conscious news sites to ride the good PR, making sure to overship to retailers so they look better than what they actually are in sales, so its good to see them get whats coming to them. I'd prefer if they actually got better, but they've been determined for quite some time to just keep getting shittier and shittier. Eventually something will have to give and Disney will have to step in.

I mean, I think the idea is pretty neat, but there is no way it can be done correctly with the current Marvel crop of writers.

As someone who's never read a single Marvel comic, I still feel horribly betrayed by this. They make Captain America, who's supposed to be more or less a personification of everything good about America, a nazi. Like, just... what the fuck.

Batman comes out with Empire #1 and Flash comes out with #2, so whatever sales Marvel makes off this will be minuscule.
