I do. The last online stuff is pretty useful to see if someone has gone to bed or not so that I don't give them a loud notification. If they're active or it's been like a minute, I feel comfortable bothering them.
Read receipts are nice for me since otherwise I have to ask if someone has seen an important message I sent to them before some deadline hits.
Freaking out over them is the problem, not necessarily the feature itself.

Nobody has to reply to any message that you send them. A phone is a tool, not an extension of yourself. A message on WhatsApp is not the equivalent of being face to face with someone and ignoring him.
