So who's working on the port, exactly? Team Bondi closed shortly after release, where did they find the people who knew the engine? I think there were reports of Rockstar fixing the game, so maybe some people from one of their studios knows this stuff, but still, it's weird
Rockstar owns the property and did work on it so some related assets probably went to them. They also took on a few people from Bondi when it closed.
impressive is a bit of an understatement...
I remember when Team Bondi was disbanded I was a little disappointed as it was one of the finest games under the Rockstar name or irregardless by itself. This and Red Dead Redemption. However I am glad that L.A. Noire hasn't been forgotten about by Rockstar.
if they ever make a sequel i hope they can figure out a way to do facial and body motion capture simultaneously, the way the head movements and eyes don't match up well to how the body moves is the one thing that makes the character animation kinda fall apart imo

The faces look great but it only makes anything below the neck look even more dead.
I always hated how they base stuff like that on how a re-release sells. They should base it on the original sales. After all, not everyone enjoys buying a game twice, unless it's really amazing.
RIP Darkstalkers. it's fate deciding HD re-release launched the same day as GTA San Andreas's HD re-release.
