So you are blaming Trump for other GOP republicans being shot while playing baseball?
No but he isn't exactly helping by facilitating their scummy behaviour.

You didn't make his statement. Let him answer it.
Also if you think Trump's actions justifies republicans being shot while playing baseball, that is pretty fucked.
Nope! But Trump is a republican and the President reflects upon the party as a whole.
So you are blaming Trump, but you are trying to sugarcoat your implication through some nuance.
GordonZombie, Lambeth stop saying that, Tudd is right, you are sorta implying because Trump is president it is justified shooting.
Edit: if that is the case, then we are a society are doomed.

I feel like Donald Trump is not good for national unity.

Like Trump acts like he's only governing for republicans.
According to the Washington Post, the shooter’s name is James T. Hodgkinson. He is 66 years old and owns a home inspection business. However, state records show that his license was not renewed.
Hodgkinson was charged in April 2006 with battery while living in Illinois. Records show that the charges were dropped.
Per a cursory glance at Hodgkinson’s Facebook page, it would appear that he is a fervent Bernie Sanders supporter.

Another Facebook page includes a number of derogatory posts about President Donald Trump and Republicans in general.
According to the Washington Post, an acquaintance of Hodgkinson’s said the two had met while campaigning for Sanders.

On Wednesday the Washington Post reported that the shooter in an attack on GOP lawmakers was James T. Hodgkinson. Initial reporting indicates that Hodgkinson, 66, was from Bellville, Illinois and owned a home inspection business.
A look at his social media accounts now suggests that he was a Democrat — and a very partisan one. In two Facebook profiles and one Twitter account, Hodgkinson routinely denounced Trump and Republicans. Across one Facebook page was a large smiling banner of Bernie Sanders.
Hodgkinson seems to have even had a taste for the nitty gritty of Washington politics. His final statements on Twitter were a pair of posts calling for the Dick Durbin (D-IL) to support the filibuster Trump SCOTUS nominee Neil Gorsuch.
Stop it you boobs

you might wanna rewrite that because you had a heavy impliction of doing that,
Edit: That still doesn't excuse what the shooting
Violence of any kind from any side is obviously inexcusable. That being said, I consider the GOP to be primarily responsible for the escalation of extreme partisanship in the current political climate.
I'd also be lying if I said I wasn't interested to see what their response to a direct encounter with the darker side of the second amendment will be.

I did not intend to imply that violence is justified any way.

Oh Great.
Christ, horrible to hear about this. Especially since it's also nearly been a year since the murder of Jo Cox.

Democrats aren't helping either by not disowning their own insane portion.
like as horrible as gop is shooting them up is only going to make them a resistance against the left damn near

They should elect them to the presidency like the GOP did.

Good on Bernie.
Nope! But Trump is a republican and the President reflects upon the party as a whole.
Conservatism and libretarianism and toasterism and liberconversionalistism, whatever political party and stance you're in, no one person should really reflect on the rest of their 'group' that much just because they're the president
besides, there are far bigger and better reasons to hate GoP and "Mainstream" republicans than trump
Wonderful to hear nobody was seriously injured. Hope that dumbfuck gets life.

Is this a weird thing to say? Does Trudeau not reflect upon the liberal party? Did Obama not reflect upon the Democratic party?
Following a shootout with police after opening fire on Republican congressmen at a Virginia baseball field this morning, shooter James T. Hodgkinson has died in the hospital. President Donald Trump confirmed the death during remarks delivered today.
- Says he doesn't blame Trump.
- Continues to justify in different ways how Trump is implicated.

It is never okay to discuss gun violence?
Is this a weird thing to say? Does Trudeau not reflect upon the liberal party? Did Obama not reflect upon the Democratic party?
I mean lets be fair though, Trump especially doesn't considering GoP kind of didn't want him to be president to boot :v:
regardless though that isn't to say there isn't a laundry list of 'reasons why GoP is awful'
Wow thats my city. Im less then 10 mins away from that baseball field.

Trump didn't shoot anybody my friend

Fair enough. It s just whenever stuff like this happens people flip out when you suggest maybe guns are bad.

the democrats don't have a history of appealing to those extremes though. not even 10 years ago, the republicans were fine with choosing sarah fucking palin to be on the ticket. what has obama and the other big dem names done to pander to the far left that comes even close to that?
To be honest as someone who is anti-gun I don't see how anyone's first reaction can't be anything but shock. Same reaction I had to the Jo Cox situation. It's the same reaction (likely along with grief) I'd have if it was an Irish politician who was shit.
