Violence of any kind from any side is obviously inexcusable. That being said, I consider the GOP to be primarily responsible for the escalation of extreme partisanship in the current political climate. I'd also be lying if I said I wasn't interested to see what their response to a direct encounter with the darker side of the second amendment will be.

To be honest as someone who is anti-gun I don't see how anyone's first reaction can't be anything but shock. Same reaction I had to the Jo Cox situation. It's the same reaction (likely along with grief) I'd have if it was an Irish politician who was shit.
