I look at the arguments and also see that there's a level/element of "I feel uncomfortable with the idea of discussing dick hygiene with my son who'd be old enough by then to make the whole encounter awkward as fuck and this method kinda eliminates all of that, so you know what, bring on the scissors" also at play in this debate that's not being discussed. It'd be interesting to see how closely the views of male circumcision were related to their views on sexual education curriculums as taught in schools.
It's relevant when people are making claims that circumcision is medically bad for the child. Once we've moved past that claim, then we can talk about the things you've brought up. I agree that it isn't conclusive when discussing whether to allow it or not, but I haven't presented it as such.

Which benefits? The most recent one you linked (http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/130/3/e756) doesn't state what the benefits actually are in the abstract.
if I were a baby I would prefer to have my penis remain intact tyvm idk why anyone would ever think they have the right to surgically alter someone's genitals without their consent. Whether or not it's beneficial is completely fucking irrelevant. Like if circumcision is really so fucking great then let people decide to do it on their own.
@phygon I skimmed and on page 9 in the article's PDF version http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/pediatrics/130/3/e756.full.pdf it starts going over benefits. I'm at work currently though so I can't actually sit down and read what it actually has to say.
