No Star Fox no deal. Ideally they would also have Super Mario All-Stars in addition to World but I doubt that.
My friend who pre-ordered the NES mini never got it because they discontinued the thing fucking instantly.
Can't wait for them to stop production after only releasing a handful of them. Smart business strategy right there.
It's so Reggie can make a killing selling them on ebay
I was hoping they'd make an SNES Mini, I don't have much Nostalgia for the NES but hell yeah SNES. I hope they have more than one RPG game on it because the SNES has a ton good ones.
If they put games like Harvest Moon on it I'm willing to fight Reggie to get one.
Earthbound and Star Fox please
Hmm i might consider getting this
i had very little interest in NES Mini because how badly the games have aged and there are only few games really worth playing there.
SNES however has aged pretty well and many of its games are still really fun.
Great business though. If they kept producing the NES Mini it would be a passing fad and they'd be left with a surplus and no demand. The SNES mini then wouldn't have the launch hype to drive them to sell out. This model allows them to produce a known quantity and know that it will completely sell out, and then move on.
Someone gets it.
I'd be interested in picking this up.
I own a SNES but unfortunately it doesn't work too well anymore, and I didn't really have a large library of games either
Earthbound and Star Fox please
I have a feeling we won't get Star Fox purely due to FX chip licensing issues.
Can't wait for them to discontinue this in a few months and then start producing the N64 Mini
You joke but i would fight an entire shopping mall to get an N64 mini.
I have a feeling we won't get Star Fox purely due to FX chip licensing issues.
But it's all emulated. Real SuperFX hardware isn't needed at all.
So like the NES mini before it, I should expect it to be as rare as a kilo of pure iridium here in Finland, and sell out before I even know the thing's been officially put on sale. Might as well not bother at all.
This time, there will be blood.
But it's all emulated. Real SuperFX hardware isn't needed at all.
They're still not allowed to use Argonaut's code. They fucked Argonaut over one too many times, this is the consequence.
Not buying it out of principle. They know 100 people want them, so they'll produce 5, and scalpers will buy up 4.
an n64 mini would be incredible, purely because i want to see what nintendo would do with the controller. whether or not it will be identical, a different style of joystick, or the original with it's flaw fixed.
i have a nes mini and it enjoyed it. the problems it has are the short fucking controller cable so i need really long hdmi and power cables for playing comfortably.
i'll definitely pick one of these up if it at least has super mario world, super metroid, link to the past and secret of mana.

and kirby super star would be enough to get me to buy a second controller too.
As some of the users over at the subreddit r/nesclassicmods suggested.
Nintendo might just reuse the old logic board, with the same quad-core cpu and everything, as it's more than capable to run SNES games.
Hell, people are playing PS1 games on the NES classic :v:
I just hope, it's gonna be as easy to mod as the NES classic.
Perhaps I'm just completely missing the point, but why do people want to buy these miniaturized versions of consoles you can easily get your hands on, that are limited to only the 30 or so games it comes with?
The cost of an SNES and thirty popular games can be quite a lot. Many of the SNES's greatest hits are now worth probably more than this entire SNES mini will cost.
And that's not to mention the technical issues involved with using an SNES in 2017. Most newer HDTVs don't even have composite/S-video/SCART ports. Even if they do, many of them don't support the SNES's 240p signal or handle it correctly (meaning it looks like complete shit and lags like hell). You need expensive converters and/or custom cables to get a good picture out of a retro console like that on today's TVs. You could just go with the Wii U Virtual Console, but each game on that is $8. That's $240 for thirty games, likely a lot more than this thing will cost.
It's definitely a good deal even beyond the nostalgia factor. My only wish is that they hopefully fix the huge input lag that was present on the NES Classic. That lag is almost a deal-breaker for me.

If that's the case, it would be funny if you could obtain a dump of the SNES mini and then simply install that to an NES Classic.
Hopefully this time they have the resources to sustain production.
Donald Trump would win a third election before Nintendo smartens the fuck up with resources and production
Well my work is almost guaranteed to sell them so I'll buy one just before opening.

When you go to a store looking for a NES Mini you can't see it
Coincidence?
I'll just use ZSNES if I ever feel like going through Mario World for the 8438028 time.
Seriously I feel like I've played ever SNES game to death already, I can't imagine losing sleep over something I'd just want for novelty sake. (I say looking at my stack of amiibos)

You need to buy it for sure now after admitting using ZSNES, tge sword of Satans will and bane of SMW hackers.

B-But it does have that weird old version that still has an experimental network multi player feature before they patched it out...

NO EXCUSES.

You could probably fix the biggest issues with it by shrinking it by like 50%.
I see people mock The Duke, but fuck me the N64 controller is a god damn monster.

If you're going to emulate, at least use an emulator that isn't ten years old.
From the company's perspective, the microconsole was planned as a cool novelty item perfect for Christmas 2016, and the numbers in which it was manufactured and shipped were expected to be enough to suit this goal.
Y'know it's almost a shame that reaction videos are banned, because I feel like the only response suitable to this line is a consecutive 8 videos of people laughing
