The ending of the second movie felt pretty meh to me. But if they make a really, really good third movie that basically continues from there, then it's going to feel a lot better.

It's nice to see not only new, but GOOD original trilogies coming out as of late.

John Wick numero uno was fun but John Wick the second kinda fell flat for me. It had a lot of sequences that were flat out bad. Something can end so perfectly that there really couldn't (and shouldn't) be a sequel but that tends to be a rare case, and by design, like Terminator 2. More often, things just end in a way that does give a satisfying conclusion but you can totally make more, which is absolutely my preference compared to leaving things with a 'to be continued' when you don't know it'll actually be continued (Half Life). John Wick ended pretty great but it didn't systematically burn down the John Wick 'universe' to make it so you can't make any more films. To me that's ideal; they can make a sequel if they want but if they don't then it doesn't hurt anyone. And if you're not in to the idea of a sequel then just assume his story ends at the end of the first movie.

If there's a spin off tv series they absolutely have to do a bit where they teach kids in school to ignore all the assassins and their shit. "On the left here, we have your standard gang murder, thats bad. On the right though, the same thing but this guy has a gold coin so its fine and you should just keep doing what you were." The crazy part of john wick, especially the 2nd movie, is just how nobody really cares that a guy is casually killing 3 men with a fucking pencil(!)

So you might be thinking of that.
