Its a basic pressure suit for use inside the vehicle in the event that it might depressurize. Not suitable for full blown EVA, but its better than your jumpsuit.
what makes it unsuitable for eva
what makes it unsuitable for eva
no protection from the baking sun and freezing abyss of space, the pressure joints are not nearly as articulate, they lack any micrometeorite protection layers, and they don't have any sort of long duration life support, probably no internal thermal management either while they look flashy, they do not look like they would help in a survival situation. NASA's orange pumpkin suits were that way because you could spot them in an event of a ditch scenario and they were capable of floating. im not a fan of space-x's minimalism and asthetics, thats not something you want in space and these aren't tourist vehicles they're for government purposes

You'd be fishing up bodies in a ditch situation. At least dragon is designed to float, and has launch escape abilities.

Heat loss is mostly radiative, which is much slower than jumping in a freezing lake.
