What they have done will be engraved on their minds forever. Once they grow up, they will regret that they laughed at something like this. This could kill so many job opportunities for them if their names were leaked as well.
I would have a terrible time if I was one of them.
How are these little shits not getting slapped with the book of law? You're telling me it's perfectly fine to just stand there and record somebody drowning?
Laws on this vary by state. And in Florida, unfortunately, the 'book of law' dictates no obligation to intervene -- or even call for help -- when watching someone die.

So far, their names haven't even been released. So it seems that -- noting their obvious lack of conscience in the video -- no consequence will be distributed for this. They get off free.
But that's justice by law for you.
I don't blame them for not jumping in, they could have easily drowned too. Plus they were under the influence which impared their judgement, you also don't know the swimming ability of these teenagers. There are so many factors unaccounted for, stop jumping on th bandwagon. But the laughing part is fucked up.
The teenagers are now being charged:

Statistically he's not wrong, most blacks in the US can't swim.
A recent study sponsored by USA Swimming uncovered equally stark statistics.
Just under 70% of African-American children surveyed said they had no or low ability to swim. Low ability merely meant they were able to splash around in the shallow end. A further 12% said they could swim but had "taught themselves".
I'm honestly surprised. Swimming is considered an essential skill where I live and I haven't actually met a person who can't swim in my life.
i mean that's the thing though. even if they get mental help, how do you "teach" empathy?
You can't.
You can teach sympathy, empathy is innate. You either have it or you or you don't.
Those fucking kids....it pisses me right off they didn't do anything to save the guy.
Could it have been a suicide? How'd he get all the way to the middle of the lake? I guess he fell in but he's so far out.
I can't wait until 4chan finds out all their information and ruins their lives. What an unspeakably cruel act.

Why would you advocate something like doxxing?
Why would you advocate something like doxxing?
Because these people deserve to have their lives ruined.

I can attest to this. During boot camp for the Navy, we had to pass a swim test. Swim a couple hundred yards using either the backstroke or breast stroke, a five minute prone float, and a highdive jump.
The number of african american recruits who couldn't swim were staggering. On numerous occasion they had to go back to the pool on separate days and try to pass their swimming test.
They also had instructors there actively teaching people how to swim, too.

I don't think you should look to 4chan as some kind of internet vigilante force.
Because these people deserve to have their lives ruined.
doxxing can also affect and hurt family members and people who know of the person being doxxed. It is never acceptable
I just cannot imagine what must have been going through their heads when they saw a man drowning and thought "this is some funny shit". I know people act up in groups, but surely they must feel some sort of guilt when they're alone with their thoughts?
Idk, I suppose I have too much faith in people doing the decent thing.

They're already facing charges
They're pretty shitty people, but what would have changed if one of them called for help, or jumped in and tried to help? Police wouldn't have got there in time, and drowning people are dangerous. Lifeguards and coast guard have to deck people in the face with their fists sometimes because the one drowning panic and can drown your ass too
The hindsight tells me the outcome would have been no different, and potentially worse, had they helped themselves or called for help, so as SHITTY excuses for people these idiots are, I don't think they should face charges for not helping or even be shunned for it.
Now for their comments and for not calling the police about a death: Get fucked.

There's a huge difference between trying but being unable to find a way to safely help someone, and actively refusing to help while laughing at them. Their intent matters, theirs was malicious.
I dunno I kind of get the feeling from listening to how these cunts talk they didn't have the best upbringing.
Probably gang-banging already or have older brothers that do, like nobody who grew up in a normal environment acts like they do.

I feel like this goes beyond bad upbringing. More like bystander effect coupled with a sociopath in the group.
How exactly was the guy disabled? None of the articles say, it's just in the titles.
