Ive got cops/hi-po/state troopers in my family and friends, and for the most part im very curteous and respectful of cops. That doesnt change the fact that when something like this happens and an innocent guy gets shot dead, someone needs to be held accountable and charged with some sort of manslaughter at the least, just like any other indusrty causing someones death.
I'm very, very pro cop, but it sure as shit is not anywhere near perfection in America.
Its near perfection in the context of accidental or unjustified killings. Theres issues with the American police system, a lot of them, but cops killing innocents in unjustifiable situations is not a rampant issue.

In this instance, the cop was acquitted while it was highly unjustifiable which is a trend in how police get special treatment. And killings happen less often than the beatings and false imprisonment. It's not just killings that is a problem, the entire police force has many, many issues that need to be addressed and underplaying it is not the way to get stuff fixed.
It's kinda hard to play simon says when your intoxicated and have no less than 2 guns pointed at you and you're being yelled at by Simon who's saying he'll shoot you dead if you fuck up.
