Just for clarification: They only had 20 packets at any store. So yeah, McDonalds ran this huge marketing campaign about this sauce and only has that much, in select locations. mcdonalds underestimated the meme power Nah but seriously the way this promotion was handled is bullshit, seriously, just for a single day, in very limited quantities and in very few restaurants? Shit was bound to happen. Hell even McDonald's is suffering from this, look at the money they could have made if they actually managed this well.

Apparently the participating McDonald's around my area (not many, they usually don't participate in these kinds of things) only got like 20 of the sauces and of course they immediately ran out within like 10 minutes of opening

Maybe they just wanted to nod to the show but didn't want to do a full blown crossover because McDonalds is meant to be a family friendly fast food restaurant and they couldn't really sell Rick and Morty to a wide demographic since it'd probably cause a huge stir with how offensive some people would find it.

It is hilarious how McDonalds only sent those selected restaurants up to 20 packs to sell. Some had over 100 people lined up for it. One restaurant did a lottery for the first 100 people to get one. Some didn't even get their shipment and people who drove for 4hours to it didn't get anything. :v: As much as Rick and Morty fans can be obnoxious this is just hilariously mismanaged.

Since it's literally just their BBQ sauce mixed with their Sweet and Sour sauce, I made a version at Wendy's with their sauces. Came out *way* fucking tastier just cause Wendy's has better S&S sauce.
