If you go down and need a firearm, you're going to need as much as you can get that will comfortably fit into your jet, and more than likely you'll have to go with whatever can fit into your flight suit since whatever's in the cockpit will be speeding away from you toward the earth at several hundred miles per hour as you either shoot or float in the opposite direction.

This might as well have been an old Chechen War trophy.

The Russians love to use things until they're truly done and past their prime. Just look at their continued use of Cold-War era jets and helos. And I don't mean "cold-war era model numbers" I literally mean that HINDs that flew in the Afghan conflict are still in use today. Say what you want about Russian soldiers, but they refuse to die by the enemy's hands. Reminds me of an article from a year or two ago. Some sort of Russian special forces was trapped and surrounded by ISIS militants. He ordered an airstrike on his location. He was rewarded (post mortem) the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.

Hard to differentiate between real and fake.
