I can tell you that you shouldn't bother with the cardboard or samsung vr, they are astonishingly bad. The vive and Oculus are pretty good, the two things they need to really hit the mainstream is them to be wireless and cheaper
I tried the Samsung VR. I was actually a bit anxious about having my first VR experience be on one of the low-tier phone sets but it was a surprise gift and I couldn't very well say "no thanks" Most of it seemed pretty spotty as you said, but the sort of welcome-to-VR tutorial from Oculus that comes packaged with it was genuinely pretty fantastic.
This looks like it'll be interesting. I can already see some use cases for a few games. I wonder if older versions of the Vive will go down by much as new ones come out?
this is literally the right half of a steam controller chopped off which is a great concept since holding a steam controller with one hand is actually a superb way to browse porn without having to reach for mouse or keyboard
I actually use my controller with one hand when I "take a stand" and hold it in the weaver grip as I shoot. It'd be awesome if I could control motion with one hand while aiming with the other hand, VR or no - I've been using the steam controller as a gyro air mouse since I got it.
it's neat but they coulda chosen a name that rolls off the tongue a bit easier
