• Surgeon admits to branding initials on patients' livers

If I ever had to get surgery I'd ask them to write "please leave" in there all over so that bullets, knives, aliens, etc. get the hint.
I'd ask for mine to be marked with "Return To Sender"
Very unprofessional, but it didn't damage the liver at all. If anything, the transplant patients got a nice story to tell.
"Yeah so my doctor completely violated my person by considering me to be some trophy or object and burnt his initials onto my body without me knowing or agreeing to it". Yeah people in this thread think it'd be cool on them but that's beside the point, this guy is hefty unprofessional and I'd personally feel violated if that happened. I'm not a letter to be signed off, I'm a human being
I would do anything to have loss imprinted onto my my heart
Fuck that guy. As soon as you start going off-procedure you lose all credibility of being a surgeon. And besides, you get your surgeons initials anyway on the outer skin layer via marker.
