I still can't believe Stefan is only 42. So glad he gets to have a better life from now on.
Goddamn Hell yeah!
Really fucking glad to hear it
This is fucking awesome! Even if for some reason you despise LazyTown and the memes, you can't hate such a genuinely good person as him.
Was his wife wrong or what, You don't just go from stage 4 advanced to "none".
Jimmy Carter was even more fucked and he managed to get rid of it too and he was god damn over 90. Sometimes cancer falls flat on its face.
Anyway when I saw his name pop up in the corner of the sub forum, I was prepared for the worst, holy shit is this great news.
Legends never die
This is awesome!

In very rare circumstances someone survives stage 4 cancer  He is number one!
Finally, meme magic is used for good and not evil.
I remember hearing that survival odds were 1:10.
Looks like he was number 1!
stage 4 pancreatic cancer to cancer free
this is actually fucking meme magic
This is how religions start.
I dont understand. I thought terminal meant terminal? What are the odds?

Terminal means 99% of people will die from this, but we should have known Stefan would be number one.
I hope it doesn't return. Dudes a great guy with a great personality.
Finally, some good news.
The "We are Number One" Meme I wish never dies because of this.
I saw Stefan's name in the main section header and immediately thought "NO, shit it's finally happened" only to find out that Stefán is just reminding us that he is still infact #1.
Praise the cartoon gods
Wow, truly a miracle, from Stage 4 to cancer-free. Hopefully it means he'll go back to do more acting.
a living legend
GET FUCKED CANCER
I don't understand, his cancer came back and went to stage 4.
WE ARE STILL NUMBER ONE
What a beautiful surprise this must be to his friends and family. Praise be to meme magic
Modern medicine and the human will to survive are amazing things. Cant discount how much support he got from concerned folks as well, really gives me hope for our capacity for empathy and the wonderful things that can result.
He is now the only known individual to beat Terminal 7. Seeing this roller coaster from the start was something both magical and absolutely absurd.

No, he had liver, pancreatic and bile-duct cancer. "Terminal 7" relates to brain cancer.
It may very well have helped. Being in good spirits is known to help when dealing with diseases like this, and IIRC he found himself quite amused by all the memes.
Having a positive bedrock always helps, both physiologically and mentally. It can't do miracles, but it can be miraculous nonetheless.
He went from number four back to number one.
He posted an update to the gofundme page:
An update from Stefan Karl himself:
So, there is a little misunderstanding going on, but still there is a good reason to celebrate life. I have been asked by hundreds of people tonight if it’s true that I’m free of cancer. This is one of those questions I don’t really know how to answer -- but am I free of getting another metastasis? That we will not know in the coming weeks or months, that’s just how Cholangiocarcinoma of Bile Duct cancer works, you simply don’t know. I’m free of any cancer metastases right now after undergoing a very successful liver surgery in June this year performed by one of the best liver surgery team in the world, Kristin Huld Haraldsdottir and Sigurdur Blöndal at the Icelandic University Hospital. In the surgery they managed to find the third metastases and remove it, something they noticed by putting the sonar to my liver during surgery. So, I’m taken care of by the best, and thanks you all, my amazing fans out there, with your prayers and support I’m able to get the best medicine available and the home care I need to stay strong and healthy. I’m even planning to go back on stage doing Stones in His Pocket this month, but only for 10 shows at Iceland’s National Theater. Having said that; I’m NOT free of the danger yet - but I’m free of the metastases. I have refused any further adjuvant therapy, chemo or radiation, since there is less than 3% chance of it making any difference, but more likely it will make me more and more sick. So, if it comes back, if we are looking at another metastases, we will try surgery or nothing at all. I will keep you all posted, cross your fingers and keep thinking of me since I’m here for you just like you are there for me. By standing together we stand stronger, as you have proved so often with your amazing letters, GoFundMe support and prayers. Me and my family are so thankful to you all, and we always will be. Another thing….a little secret project -- I’ll tell you very soon, and you will be the first to hear, I promise. Yours always Stefan Karl #1
Stefan you Iron Fucking Giant. FUCK YES.
