Maybe it's different in the US but there's plenty of swinger clubs open to the public in Europe. Sometimes they only let couples (or more) in, sometimes single ladies (but not men) are welcome, sometimes if you're a single man you just gotta pay more.

As someone who has attended swingers clubs it's generally a case of couples get base prices, single ladies are discounted prices, transsexual and transvestite patrons pay slightly more than couples, single males pay more than ts/tv patrons.

This is primarily because there are far more single males going to such things than there are females.

That said this is just a general rule of thumb and doesn't apply to every establishment and there are other events that also do different things such as newbies nights and ladies nights, etc, etc.
