Any implication that she got the job via sex is just, retarded beyond belief, but one has to ask yourself why the fuck would you hire her, and why the fuck would you take the job? I mean I like to draw but with my current skills I don't think I would accept a job as lead animator for disney because I know I don't have the skills necessary to do that, so I'd just end up being "the person who singlehandedly fucked up the next disney movie"

They took a risk with having someone inexperienced take a leading role and it bit them in the ass, it's more on BioWare/EA for putting them in that position than it is the fault of the person who couldn't do it.

I'm all for companies being willing to give someone who doesn't have a lot of experience a chance because I'm personally sick of seeing even entry level jobs require 5+ years experience, but don't put them into a lead role. Give them a chance to prove themselves in an entry level position

Feel bad for her tbh, offered a job you can't turn down like right out of school. It's a job the hiring staff knew she might not be able to be cut out for, but you can hardly blame her for taking a huge job at a huge company in the industry she wants to work in.

Frankly, I'm honestly asking that. I've had to struggle in my past to get jobs doing basic shit because my work experience was lacking. If I could have just applied to Bioware and gotten this job, I would have. So how does someone get a job like that without pulling strings? That's a level of mismanagement that is so surreal to me that I don't get how it can even occur without there being something weird involved.

Her demo reel is actually pretty good for a Pixar / Dreamworks esque style. She obviously has a strong handle on exaggerated emotions and lip-syncing. I think she would do pretty well as a facial animator for the aforementioned studios. But cartoony, exaggerated expressions do not carry over well to humanoid characters grounded firmly in realism. Similarly, I think being given the role of lead for her first exposure of the games industry workflow was probably a poor choice for her, simply because she's never done it before and suddenly she's the departmental authority. I wouldn't surprised if a lot of Andromeda's facial animation issues are borne in part by the sheer fact she wasn't familiar with the workflow, yet had all of this responsibility piled onto her. I don't doubt that she could have actually done a pretty decent job, if she had been given a non-lead role and had space to breathe. Her demo shows she has a talent for it.
