My nephew ate the rubber on my two original PS2 controllers. There must be something about that rubber that kids like.
My dog chewed the rubber off my PS3 analogs
He's sorta like a child
Despite what has been said about this company, this was the most comfortable, and relatively functional controller I ever got from them.

Fuck this controller it was like 1 third the size of my hands. Felt like I was playing a game for ants.
why does every single madcatz controller have those awful ribs on the grips
my hands dont need it to be ribbed for my pleasure
how the fuck am i gonna get spare te parts now
Any arcade shop will provide you buttons, sticks, microswitches and shit
For instance, Madcatz te use knockoff sanwa size 30 buttons so you can replace them with, well, real sanwa buttons (obfs30) or any other brand as long as it's the right size

I remember these being on par if not better then the og xbox controllers. I know a lot of there other stuff was crop though sadly. Rip
I have fond memories of our N64 controller made by these people. The stick had the ye olde widely feared wonks that made it full tilt to the left constantly.
My brother still had two official controllers though, so we made a game out of it in Goldeneye 64's multiplayer, whoever found the crazy spinning guy and put him out of his misery first won.
Kinda miss that.
Mad Cats is the reason I don't buy third party controllers
I actually have a couple good products from Mad Catz.
I have 2 8 MB PS2 memory cards that I got back in 2001. Still work perfectly.
And an OG Xbox wireless controller. That thing is absolutely flawless. It feels almost as good as the official ones, has good range, and because it doesn't have vibration, the battery lasts forever. It was the one Mad Catz controller that my friends actually wanted. I still use it if I don't need vibration.

I had that thing
It was a piece of shit
Never stayed connected, ate batteries like a monster truck, it was a firm enough controller but the sticks and buttons were way shittier than even my giant Duke controller.
I just stuck with the duke.
I just miss the Turbo buttons that use to come on third party N64, PS1, and PS2 controllers. Rapid fire taunts in Mario Golf and Party was fun.
I guess they didn't end up getting an investment after all. Pour one out.

I remember this. It was pretty good. It was pretty weird going from the Duke to this.

You can still find turbo button controllers made for at least the PS3 (I can confirm this because I've got one) and I think with something like a CronusMax you could probably set up a script to have a toggleable turbo.
Though it'd work better on the ps4 where you've got the generally unused second touchpad button.
I had one of those clear Mad Catz PS2 controllers. It broke the first day I bought it.
I had a Mad Catz GameBoy Advanced charger that plugged right into the bottom of the system. It was actually great and the part that clipped into the GameBoy was shaped like the ends of a traditional controller and gave the system a much more comfortable feel.
This is the only picture I could find of the product

Everything else I ever bought off them was garbage though.
This thing was the shit. It bulked your GBA up to the point you couldn't take it anywhere, but I remember the battery life actually being pretty decent compared to AA's. If my GBA still worked I'm sure that battery would still be fine.

Me and my brother were two of those kids.

I mean, you couldn't take it anywhere if you planned on carrying it in your pocket sure, but that thing looks to be smaller than the Switch. I certainly would found some sort of carrying case for it if I needed to because a charger that helps shape the controller better is pretty sweet.
Rest in peace Madcatz. Your sticks had decent bodies.
I had one but it broke

I had the [del]transparent blue one with white rubber grips[/del] opaque blue with black rubber. Just looked in the box I keep my gamecube in.
It was soo much more comfortable than the standard controllers.

I'm glad Saitek bought out their own brand and assets from Mad Katz last September, otherwise they likely would've gone down with the ship.
the best controller I had for my n64 was this bugger with stylish translucent burgundy plastic and the first rubberized grips I'd ever seen

I was fortunate (or gentle) enough to never have issues with the stick wonking out, a staple of mad catz quality
[editline]e[/editline]
it's probably partially responsible for me not having much trouble adjusting to original xbox controllers back in the day, the center handle was very thick in depth
I got a clear one of those back in the day. It broke in 10 minutes.
Mad Catz was always garbage. I'm just glad Saitek got out while they could.
Sold a friend a F.L.Y. 5 stick my brother no longer used for a tenner; bloody thing's Z-axis fucks up within a few days. Seems to have been a defect common to all of them. Gave him back the tenner.
Doesn't surprise me they went under.
