Out of all android emojis I never fucking understood this
The popular speculation was that Google somehow completely misinterpreted the reference art for it, since the reference manual was in black and white, and the yellow heart was dithered. [editline]31st October 2017[/editline] Google was equally confused on the other heart colors.
What is it with every moron under the sun having their own emoji catalogue and constantly throwing the babb out with the bath water and redesigning the whole thing because some peeps with tiny penii aren't pleased with the minutia?

truely the biggest problem faced in todays age
You can think of different emoji sets as different fonts (because that's basically what they are) and it makes a lot more sense
then samsung is comic sans and google is papyrus
Google: Develops UI language that makes gradients a massive no-no also Google: puts gradients in their emojis
None of this would have happened if they never got rid of the blobs.
people apparently hated blob people so they got rid of them example:
apple is comic sans, samsung is impact, google is papyrus
apple's emojis are so fucking bad and they've been that terrible for so long it's unbelievable
Emojione is the god-tier. Twitter is also pretty good.
Nah I think apple emojis are great honestly but twitter ones are just perfect
Samsung's emojis are fucking wingdings. I mean look at this, it's literally not even depicting the same thing:
[t]https://blog.emojipedia.org/content/images/2017/09/Samsung-cookie.jpg[/t]
This is the equivalent of typing Q and getting an airplane
i think microsoft emojis are the best. all the others look like a graphic designer has never touched them.
i think microsoft emojis are the best. all the others look like a graphic designer has never touched them.
I prefer my emoji with less than 50% of the pixels making up the outline.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/uosDqN8.png[/t] Oreo's emojis suck but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
This one might just come down to cultural differences. I read a pretty interesting article somewhere about how different cultures interpret the same symbols (like emojis) completely differently. While the three on top look like more of a cringey grimace, samsung looks more like an angry one. I don't think either are wrong, just different interpretations of the same thing. that cracker/cookie one, I dunno. Maybe if you consider them both to be biscuits they might be considered the same thing.
I'm a personal fan of the Twitter ones. Can we get this as an official emoji in the next version of Unicode?

[editline]1st November 2017[/editline] I'm not sure why no-one has quoted the cheese yet, but this is quite the issue:
It's not going to happen for a while but I'd love to see a widely-adopted standard for custom emoji so I can whenever and wherever I want
The only thing that should ever touch the bottom bun of a burger is the patty and your hands. Not cheese or lettuce or whatever else.
If the burger is juicy, you put the lettuce on the bottom so that the bun doesn't get soggy.

I would imagine there would be, e.g. using a system font which contains its own set of emojis
Isn't there a way to do this on Android? I would imagine there would be, e.g. using a system font which contains its own set of emojis
I'm sure you could, but the point of custom emoji is that you get to share them/use them with other people.
Kind of like how pidgin let you set custom emoticons that worked with other people back when people actually used pidgin
Kind of like how pidgin let you set custom emoticons that worked with other people back when people actually used pidgin
It really depends on the chat protocol if the client isn't custom. QQ for example lets you use (and copy) whatever smileys you want, but that one's a horribly insecure Chinese program that is outright detected by some virus scanners.
Kind of like how pidgin let you set custom emoticons that worked with other people back when people actually used pidgin
MSN's desktop application also had this shit on the protocol you could send like max 10 per message so we got really creative with our character usage
Kind of like how pidgin let you set custom emoticons that worked with other people back when people actually used pidgin
People figured this out at work since we still use Pidgin. :v:
because fox news was making a huge issue about it when Paul manafort was getting fucked in the ass by the FBI. I'm not joking
Didn't Fox also make a big issue about Obama wanting mustard on his burger? What is it with them
Like even Samsung has better emojis than stock lmao
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/471dHID.png[/thumb] Wew lad
Lest y'all forget: Samsung is a South Korean company. That's why the emojis look different and so forth - the culture's pretty dang different from here.
