It's not easy to care for an elderly person that's terminal. In most cases, it's a lack of knowledge. My mom and I cared for my grandma in her final year of life. We ended up having to take shifts. Mom did from 4am to about 9pm. I did from 5pm to 4am and we overlapped between 5pm and 9 pm. It's not fun or easy dealing with someone who's in a constant hallucination and calls you by the wrong name.
